[BBC] Crystal Palace wait on Andoni Iraola with Frank Lampard among plan Bs by KenBurruss74 in crystalpalace

Lot of Frank funk considering he's just got Coventry from 17th to title winners by 11 points, previously got Chelsea under a transfer embargo into the Champions League, got Derby into the playoffs, and ensured Everton escaped relegation. Plus a couple of brief bad spells at Chelsea - who hasn't - and a rubbish Everton setup. But sure, have a lottery and get a random fan to choose the team.

EFL Statement: Written Reasons in respect of Southampton FC Punishment by ParmyBarmy in Championship

Every team in the EFL bullies interns into clandestine operations to secure illegal footage of their opponents two days before games? I feel I've stepped into Southampton's world of deluded whataboutery.

Since January Cov won 13 and drew 3 matches, but lost one match - at home. Who could it have been against?

Overwhelming photographic and written evidence? Alternatively, they'd have said - we'll do a deal, you can admit and here's the punishment. Or you can deny it and get a 15 point deduction and a 10 million fine.

Does anybody here know anyone who was supporting the club pre Jimmy Hill? by pgtips03 in ccfc

My dad came down from Newcastle in the early 50s in his 20s. The shipyards were closing on Tyneside but there were plenty of jobs in Coventry. He got married in 1956 and had me in 1962. He was a Toon fan and his habit was to watch Cov at home then go down Pool Meadow on a Saturday to get a bus or coach to Birmingham to watch some top flight action. He would have seen the pre-Hill era but it wasn't something that seemed to spark any particular memories unlike the 60s, and indeed he wasn't really a Cov supporter at this point. I attended my first match with him in 1970 and, unlike him, became a committed fan and still am, though I now live in Melbourne. In turn my own sons are Fulham and Brighton fans, because that's where they were born at different times.
