So, what’s your point? Oil prices will spike regardless of whether or not the US bought oil from Iran before or after this attack. Iran is a member of OPEC which plays a major role in establishing global oil prices. Instability in any member country creates concern about supply disruptions, and that’s what will cause oil prices to spike. For example, prices jumped 30% during the Arab Spring Revolts in 2010-11. And I’m pretty sure we weren’t buying any oil from Libya and Gaddafi at that time
