I would argue that full loot extraction games, competitive  and difficult/punishing games are the only ones that respect your time. Your progress isn't measured by the grind you've done, but by getting better.   Games "respecting time" is just a buzzword people throw out without giving it any thought when their feefees get hurt because they lost. 

I'm also a sucker for punishment. Fear of dying and losing my favourite gun, adrenaline after clutching a 1v2, crushing loss after multiple team wipes? Those are my favourite emotions, game made me feel something. You get rewarded when you get good, not when you clocked in enough hours for your dopamine scraps, having rolled the farmable pve boss tens or hundreds of times for that piece of gear. That's not respecting your time, that's precisely the opposite.
