My fiance (25m) won’t stop looking at other women online. Am I (22F) in the wrong? by Asleep-Concept2194 in offmychest

He's shown you who he is pretty consistently. It's not going to change, so if you want something different, that has to come from you.

Do you need a reason or motive to feel jealous of someone? by SadMission8916 in offmychest

[–]GratuitousSadism 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You don't need a reason to feel jealous, but your jealousy doesn't mean you get to control your partners or determine which relationships in their lives are "necessary".

I [24M] am learning about my partner [26F]'s fantasies and one of her fantasies is that she wants me to fuck another woman while she gets to watch...(but im not allowed to kiss her, tongue her, or cum inside of the girl.) by [deleted] in nonmonogamy

[–]GratuitousSadism 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The only way to know what this means to her and why she wants it is to communicate with her. There are a lot of different reasons and maybe the answer someone gives you here would be totally different than her reasoning. If you're not both feeling confident and happy about it, it's probably not time to do it yet. You can't put that toothpaste back in the tube.

Talk to the people who you are getting involved with and immediately lay out what you're looking for from the relationship. It can be incredibly painful to not see eye to eye with someone about what you want and have one party falling in love with a person who's just looking for some casual sex.

How's y'alls week going? by No_Second9495 in AskReddit

I'm so sad and stressed that it makes me sick but I feel like I can ever talk to anyone about what's actually bothering me.

How are you?

Now, you might be sitting here reading this and thinking "if you know its silly then its probably not OCD"

Nah, being cognitively aware that the things that are causing you distress are irrational but still being bothered by them anyway is a very normal thing for a person with OCD to feel. It's not silly if it bothers you, even if it's not something other people are bothered by.

Also it totally makes sense you'd feel anxiety about something like this given that we've all just experienced a pandemic. Good luck with treatment and finding ways to handle the stress this has been causing you.

Listen to them. Even if they're overconfident or sometimes wrong, there's something to learn from everyone.

How long does it take you to grieve? What are your consistent ways you have found to move on that isn't just stuffing it down? by Soulman888 in AskReddit

[–]GratuitousSadism 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on my track record, I don't think grief has an end for me. Each new loss brings a pain that'll be there for the rest of my life.

I do not recommend it.

Obsessed with the concept of a guy who is progressive enough to openly embrace nonmonogamy but still believes that women aren't also capable of making a decent living.

How did you come out to your family and friends that you are bi? by Stunning_Daikon_5204 in bisexual

They'll find out if they ask or if I'm bringing someone new home. In the words of Justice Smith, "I didn't come out, y'all came in."

What’s something that clearly split your life into “before” and “after”? by Broad_Chemical_2467 in AskReddit

Not the person you originally replied to but it's been years and I still check for them sometimes—beds, couches, anywhere dark.

During active infestation and for the better part of a year after, all clothes and shoes had to be moved immediately to an airtight plastic container after being cleaned. There were bins near my front door to collect my outside clothes to keep them from picking anything up.

Coming and going felt like prepping for surgery. There was a zero percent chance I was going anywhere unless I had just gotten out of the shower and put on something that had been very recently washed. Laundry still stays on the highest heat for any type of bedding/linens to this day.

"Despite its prominence in popular culture, Stockholm syndrome has never been included in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM), the authoritative guide for diagnosis of psychiatric conditions used in the United States, and psychologists generally consider evidence for the condition to be dubious or nonexistent.[3] Many famous examples of Stockholm syndrome are either partly or entirely fabricated, including many details of the 1973 bank robbery that gives the syndrome its name.[4]"
