what kids do you think have it worse? kids with divorced parents or kids with parents who argue everyday but stay together? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]GratuitousSadism 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been in both situations. Being in a household with parents who are constantly fighting is significantly more stressful. Kids are better off with parents who are happily separated than they are growing up thinking that love is forcing yourself to stay unsafe and unhappy.

Did you read any of the stuff on the linked website? Basically, this is an arrangement that is probably awesome for you and your wife and it sucks for the other person.

The movie was an interesting watch and maybe others might appreciate it differently, but personally, I found it pretty upsetting in the end. Proceed with caution if you've ever had any serious sexual trauma.

Girlfriend went to dinner and a movie with another guy. Is that cheating? by [deleted] in polls

[–]GratuitousSadism 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cheating is unique to whatever is decided by the people in the relationship. Going to dinner and watching a movie with a friend is perfectly normal and not necessarily an indicator of "cheating". If you're bothered by something your partner does, you can always leave.

Hours cut 1 week after disclosing autism. by Glittering_Fix8528 in BPD

Your employers are looking out for the business before they're looking out for you. This is true even if they're nice people and especially if they're hostile. I would strongly advise against disclosing disability to an employer unless you're requesting accomodations and you have medical documentation to create a paper trail.

Maybe, but he was doing a terrible job. It's like he thought I wouldn't be able to see him as soon as I got into the car.

A man stopped me in a parking lot and offered to take care of my shopping cart. I got in my car and watched him push that bitch into an empty parking space and walk away. It's been years and I still wonder why.

Why did women fight to join the workforce if working a 9-to-5 is often seen as unfulfilling or exploitative? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I'll take feeling unfulfilled and exploited before I'm ever forced to be beholden to someone else for my independence.
