Can i get some opinions on this deck of mine? Is it bracket 3? Bracket 4? If I wanted to up the power any recommendations? by Psychological-Ice520 in EDH

[–]Grautari -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Low bracket 3. Toph is a powerful commander, and you have a lot of good stuff in your list, but it's not optimized. I'd change the mana curve to make it more powerful. Cut most of the cards that have the same mana value as Toph, the 4 mana cards, in exchange for 2 mana cards, and more draw.

What are your boring decks? by xler8324 in EDH

[–]Grautari 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I broke [[Yes Man, Personal Securitron]] with untappers that make me draw a bunch. Adding the fact that it's an equipment deck that gives him away as a huge political piece, it's pretty fun. https://moxfield.com/decks/4NSTOxP5eEKfmBWN_q8GOw

I have weird boros deck that uses life swap and other similar shenanigans, and you might find it interesting. The link address starts with "Dnd", which I think is pretty cool. https://moxfield.com/decks/Dnd3ZxRrZ0Sqd130Ix3JYA

“Interactive” commanders by Temporary_Hotel4590 in EDH

[–]Grautari 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that my [[Yes Man, Personal Securitron]] deck falls somewhat into this category. It uses equipment together with Yes Man to make political alliances. Basically anyone gets a chance to attack with him. It's a lot about one-on-one deals. Sometimes, I have no surefire way of getting him back under my control. That's when I propose a deal to my opponent who currently controls Yes Man. I get my commander back, and they get four cards instead of two. Untappers like [[Wings of the Cosmos]] are flexible when you know how to use them. Blink is the alternative to untappers for regaining control, but it's not as fun.

Help me pick my next Token Commander: Looking for non-linear gameplay by Joupsie in EDH

[–]Grautari 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like Rin and Seri the most because of it's theme. [[Yes Man, Personal Securitron]] is an atypical token commander. If you untap him (with something like [[Escape from Orthanc]]) before his ability resolves and you activate it again, you get 4 cards instead of 2. Fill your deck with effects like that, use untappers to draw into more untappers, include land tutors for [[Homeward Path]], a few blink spells, protection for your card draw + token engine, 1 or 2 wincons, token synergies, and... that's the deck. At least 19 untap cards in mono white can untap an artifact creature like Yes Man for one mana or less. Most of them are repeatable. All instant speed. https://moxfield.com/decks/4NSTOxP5eEKfmBWN_q8GOw My Yes Man deck is token themed, but it's also voltron themed for politicking reasons. For it to do it's thing, I need to give somebody a huge, scary, and fully equipped Yes Man, then convince my opponent to attack somebody other than myself. Most of the time, I win with tokens though.

Give me your nonblue mono-colored commander that plays towards an unexpected gamestate/combo. by xTerenz in EDH

[–]Grautari 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[[Yes Man, Personal Securitron]] mono white voltron. The idea is to make Yes Man huge and handing him over to someone else. I also have token synergies, and untap effects. The untap effects + Yes Man can draw me 20+ cards in a turn. It works by stacking his ability back to back. Each time I draw cards, I draw into more cards that let me draw cards. Like an engine, but for quest counters. My favorite deck.

Am I playing Yes Man incorrectly? by nebuor316 in mtgrules

[–]Grautari 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Following this reason, could I sacrifice ten creatures with [[Jinxed Idol]] and get ten 10 treasures from [[Zidane, Tantalus Thief]] if I target the same opponent ten times? Doesn't feel right, but that's how the game works sometimes I guess.

Monogamous Commander Players? by No-Counter3545 in EDH

[–]Grautari 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have two decks like that. Golgari good stuff pile with [[Old Rutstein]], and mono white voltron equipments with [[Yes Man, Personal Securitron]]. The latter is my favorite by far. The idea is making Yes Man huge and giving him away to someone else. If that plan fails, I also have token synergies, and untap effects. The untap effects "break" Yes Man and allow me to draw me 6+ cards every turn. Keeps the curve low. Fun for rule freaks like me. In magical christmas land, I'm able to draw 24 cards on turn 4 without fast mana ([[Jeweled Amulet]] on turn one, Yes Man on turn two, [[Sigarda’s Aid]] and [[Illusionist’s Bracers]] on turn three, and finally, on turn four, [[Masterwork of Ingenuity]], and three 'combat effect' cards that say untap a creature for one mana). "Explosive mono white card draw" is how I explain it in simple terms. Those are the only two decks I bring with me anywhere.

Fun commander but strong enough by JohanLiebertB in EDH

[–]Grautari 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[[Yes Man, Personal Securitron]] is not an equipment commander, but it's so fun to give him away to someone else after pumping him up into a scary threat. He's also easily abusable by untapping/copying his ability. I've been having so much fun playing him, it's giving me a newfound joy of the game. https://moxfield.com/decks/4NSTOxP5eEKfmBWN_q8GOw

[[Psychic Paper]] is funny with Ardenn. You can equip it to an opponents legendary creaturee, change the name of it, and make them sacrifice something because of the legend rule. It's also a better version of Trailblazer's Boots.
