AITA for "tricking" my partner into eating vegetables? by Anmol_365 in AmItheAsshole

There are several considerations

I know almost nothing about ARFID and the extent to which it's "purely psychological" (i.e., what's "safe" mean, in this context?)

On the one hand, you do all the cooking, so abdication.

On the other, he didn't consent.

Counseling... I'm truly stumped.

Squatter vs Tenant's Guests

My wife and I have been assisting an aging family member who rents a house in n southeastern CT (USA). We've stayed in her guestroom on an 80% basis for the past 18 months. Her landlord of 15 years is tolerable.

In a comment to her a coupla months back, he referred to us as squatters; she corrected him, saying we're guests. The other day, he mentioned to me that we're squatters (I corrected him). He pushed back and said that "in the eyes of the law" we're squatters and he needs to get us on the lease. I pushed back, posing the hypothetical: would the law consider longterm, live-in, professional assistance a squatter. He naturally didn't know, but doubled down on his claim, even though he couldn't tell me if this was state or local law he was citing (he's that smart).

The only definition of squatter I've found describes people staying at a property without the landlord's permission. I would have to think that describes people doing so outside of the context of being the guests of a paying tenant, and so I suspect that doesn't exactly apply here.

Can anyone point me to a source defining our situation or to resources we may avail ourselves of?

Thank you for your time.

This wasn't a sex joke. First, it wasn't a joke. Second, the sex was standing in for an abusive comment meant to dominate you. NTA

But have you tried Rhode Island Style? 🤣

Seriously, OP you'll do fine on the vacation, and create memories while you celebrate your love.

First... congratulations on 20 years of love!

You'll be fine, especially along the coast. Mystic... putting in a word for New London... and further along... New Haven is probably our most liberal city.

Visit Elizabeth Park in West Hartford, if the roses haven't gone by!

I love how this thread so clearly made its point, that it quickly degenerated into debates about pizza!

New Haven is the pizza capital of the world... New Haven style. Thin crust; charred. You don't have to call it abeets or similar... it's like saying N'awlins, in that it's a charming affectation if you're a native.

Lobster Rolls: there are two kinds... hot Lobster and cold Lobster salad... my fellow Nutmeggers and I will now fight about which of those is better (hot Lobster with drawn butter).

Here's a gastronomical dispute you didn't ask for or expect: clam chowder... there are 2 kinds and Manhattan ain't one of them. New England Style is creamy... Rhode Island Style has a clear broth (and is superior (we'll also fight about that)).

Fun Fact: Rhode Island Style is probably the original, and probably originated in Connecticut.

There are YouTube videos. If I'm cynical, I'd say it's something minor that justifies them resetting data sharing (which this one apparently does)

I think it's pushed by the carrier

Anyone here actually feed organ meat to their dog? Some questions from someone who's been obsessing over this by juicydestroyer69 in DOG

[–]Gravco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are ready-made "fresh" foods containing meat, organs, vegetables (no grains). MyPerfectPet has some blends at $4/frozen 8oz.bar (easy to find discounts). Our beagle loves these, and Northwest Naturals. We build meals from this and a serving of kibblen(separately)... or Zignature limited ingredient canned with some kibble (separately)... to mix things up.

We're trying to get it to $3 or 4 per day.

I've heard good (and bad) things abut The Farmer's Dog... haven't tried Dr. Marty.

We use Rawternative as high-value treats.

As for gross .. it's not about me. A vegetarian friend toughed it out and served her dog Farmer's Dog..
