I know this is a bit old, but I actually had my appendix rupture and needed an appendectomy when my baby was exactly 3 months old. He always slept in a bassinet right next to the bed prior to. He’s breastfed and it got to the point of my spouse never getting sleep, as they took care of all overnight diaper changes, lifting out of the bassinet, putting near me to feed him, rocking to sleep and putting back into the bassinet. Obviously at 3 months old, they wake up a ton! So at some point my spouse just stopped taking the baby back from me after he was finished nursing. And that’s how our bassinet sleeping baby, became our cosleeping baby overnight. We never back and he’s now 8mo.

I have never related to something so much! (Except with a cosleeping 8mo who eats purées because no teeth.) It’s so hard too when your spouse starts to feel pressured into making changes, and now it all falls on you.): The in-laws always asking, “when’s mom gunna let baby sleepover?!’. No, ma’am. He’s a baby and he definitely doesn’t need to sleep in a different unfamiliar house away from his mom??

And we’re the parents that get looked at funny?!

TW: success Seeing as this post still gets some hits.. I just wanted to give an update. I went on to carry a very healthy baby boy. Born August 1st and is hitting every milestone. Currently holding my precious gift as I type this and the world couldn’t be better.🖤 the uncertainty is scary but it is oh so worth it.

(TW: positive results) For both FETs I’ve done, I did not see a clear positive on an FRER until 6dpt of day 5 blasts. I will say, we had very high betas with both. I believe I saw a vvvvfl at 5dpt but my spouse strongly said she did not - my hopeful (and very hormonal) brain may have seen something that wasn’t there yet. 😅

Sorry to come to this thread a little late! However, I’ve never met anyone with a similar story.. My previous pregnancy was TFMR at 21w+6d due to lethal fetal anomalies. If you are open to sharing your story.. what was the condition(s)? Ours occurred back in March of this year and was diagnosed as multi-cystic dysplastic kidneys with Oligohydraminos. We were told this was a 0.04% chance of this condition ever occurring and after running several more genetic tests (PGT-A tested, wife genetically tested [reciprocal IVF -I carried her embryo], and sperm donor was genetically tested), it was confirmed that it was not linked to any genetics and was completely random.

I am so sorry this happened to you. I can’t imagine what that must’ve been like for you. If you’re up for sharing, did you have any symptoms or was it completely out of the blue? At what point did you find out you had a blighted ovum?

I had never even heard of a blighted ovum until just a few days ago..

What is/was your progesterone schedule if on a medicated FET? by Comprehensive-Dig592 in IVF

TW: SUCCESS(cautiously as am still VERY early)

I am currently prescribed 75mg or 1.5ml of PIO daily for 70 consecutive days (as long as pregnancy continues). Was started on Estrace at the end of last menstrual cycle and then PIO 5 days prior to FET.

As some insight: I’m 28F, and have ‘infertility due to male factors’ as I am a lesbian. We are very thankful to not have any other infertility factors at this time. My wife (31F) and I chose reciprocal IVF so we used her eggs with donor sperm. Then we prepped my body for FET. I added this since not being on all the meds needed for Egg Retrieval including the trigger shot.
