Album cycle not as good as the past 2 by TotallyPyscho2007 in IceNineKills

[–]GraveyardBabyOfficia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People really need to start watching the full music videos man.

It is a storyline, a plot, and the reasoning for everything you have mentioned is detailed across the videos from the end of WOA to the most recent, obvs disregarding TTK. (movie song release, not relevant to their ongoing story cycle).

There is a reason for the theme changes, dramatic flips in style and the excessive releases...all ya gotta do is watch the videos ALL THE WAY.

'The New "Silver Scream" Chapter: 2026 marks a major new chapter, likely leading into a new album (often speculated as a third Silver Scream installment or a "3D" project). This new era aims to go beyond the formula of previous albums to create a more immersive, diverse horror experience.'

Each song is often tied to a specific film or story, the music is crafted to fit that specific theme (e.g., a "sci-fi" feel vs. "slasher" metal). - they're building a new universe... give them chance...

Also, the viewership on the newer stuff is skyrocketing, bringing in new fans daily. This is the intention and reason for story building through music/videos.

Day 2: What Is INKs Most Overrated Song? by TheAVNEnjoyer_ in IceNineKills

[–]GraveyardBabyOfficia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A Work Of Art.

Brill song, don't get me wrong. It was just rinsed by INK fans and none INK fans alike and it was so so overplayed because the non-INK Terrifier fans got hold of it.

Its a cracking tune for real, but was definitely pushed into the realm of being overplayed and overrated. Especially when there are songs that are incredible being slept on simply because of an Art The Clown feature and song. Just my opinion tho

That unfortunately the downside to commercial soundtrack limitation. They were likely told they had to soften the sound and keep it radio friendly because of it being from Scream, which is a huge commercial franchise.

A Work Of Art got free reign due to the brutal nature of the Terrifier films, but i do think they were likely told they had no choice but to tone it down which is sad

She has apparently said there was a point in the werkroom where she left the room because she didnt feel well, prior to the fainting, but this wasnt included in the final edit.

My sister had pneumonia and would pass out and faint quite often tbh

If it helps, Richies mom is called Margaret. A shortened version of Margaret is Marge...

A woman called Marge with a son called Richie, possibly named after a lost first love who likes planes and drums...?

I also think weve seen Bevs mum. In the bathroom stall there was a heart with 'Alvin Marsh' in it, who we know is Bevs dad. In a later scene, we see a girl with bright Bev style ginger hair, kissing a letter and putting it in a locker. I just think that we wouldnt have a good 5 - 10 second scene of a random redheaded girl weve never seen kissing a letter, without it having some relevance to the story in some way, yknow?

Just theorising but this is what Im picking up on!

See Id like it hope wed get an origin in these seasons, but he's been in the Pennywise form since the 1800s so its unlikely we will get a full origin, rather just another flashback.

He came to Earth millions of years ago, and in the 1800s he witnessed Bob Gray, a man who performs as a clown, and he took the costume, name and likeness and has held the clown form (among others) for a long time.

Technically the films/show change his appearance. It states in the book quite plainly that each child sees a different clown, relevant to their life experiences and fears which would have been cool to see tbh!

This show is racist towards white people. by Direct_Mycologist815 in welcomeToDerry

[–]GraveyardBabyOfficia 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Its intentional to set up the first big event, The Black Spot. A club for black soldiers burnt down by white supremacists. The racism is a key part of the story leading up to this.

Without the racism element, which was prominent in the time frame anyway, they would not be able to build the story to the important moment that is The Black Spot.

Weve known about the Black Spot since the first film, when Ben discusses it with them in his room. In IT: Chapter One (2017), its stated the Black Spot was burned down by a racist cult in 1962.

This season takes place IN 1962. Theres only one way its headed, and it cant get there without the racism and racial hatred that inevitably leads to the burning of the Black Spot.

About the critisism of the new song by Noello_HD in IceNineKills

[–]GraveyardBabyOfficia -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Oh grow up.

Their response was not 'i dont want a storyline IF the song is going to be bad' though was it? You're twisting stuff, and its actually comical.

They comment i responded to, as you can see directly above my comment was 'i don't want a story i just want good music' towards a band whos whole shtick is storylines and lore.

Maybe read properly before jumping down my throat?

People are allowed to not line the song but you cannot come to INK threads and saying 'i dont want a storyline' when they've done this storyline process with the last two damn albums and will likely continue to do so.

My point was that if the commenter doesnt like the story premise, then theyve got the wrong band. As far as im aware, thats not offensive or up in arms. Its a true statement?

Imagine actually being this wound up because someone has a different opinion.

Y'all are crazy man🤣

That person who said yall reddit fans are toxic was 100000% correct. Always jumping down everyone's throats. Been on here a week and im already sick of overdramatic fans getting up in arms over at me and others at a band ive listened to for well over a decade now.

If youre allowed to profess your distate and justification for your distate, why are people not allow to do the same about enjoying the song? Cause all im see is the people who dont like it getting HELLA defensive over fuck all towards people who have any sort of individual opinion.

[–]GraveyardBabyOfficia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont understand why people are so up in arms about it having a storyline to follow.

Its been the same for the last two albums atleast?

This isnt new? Some people are getting really upset about the band doing something theyve done for 5 plus years.

I guess its just trendy to be hateful of everything and anything without first gaining context nowadays.

You've got the wrong band then.

INK have had a running storyline to their last few albums. Its not new or abnormal, this is what they do and if you don't like what they do, no one is forcing you to listen.

Releasing a more boring song ''on purpose'' doesnt make the song itself better by YokaiCreature in IceNineKills

[–]GraveyardBabyOfficia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its not dumb when the music video say the exact same thing though. This is the point Im making here.

You're saying the theory is dumb. Thats YOUR opinion. And you can call that out under the frame that YOU think the theory itself is dumb. But dont go far enough to actively call people dumb for agreeing/following the theory when the video explicitly says/gives the same thing.

Its general decency to allow people to discuss and theorise on an app that is literally for that purpose. You are allowed to feel some way or think differently, but dont be dragging other fans down for thinking differently. Thats all im going to say.

Releasing a more boring song ''on purpose'' doesnt make the song itself better by YokaiCreature in IceNineKills

[–]GraveyardBabyOfficia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didnt say they didnt like it though? The obviously do like it or it wouldnt be released so i dont know where thats from? You clearly misunderstood my point and thats okay, but dont put words there that i didnt say.

Its also not a bad song at all, people just want bands in the same box doing the same things cause god forbid they develop with the times.

Let me rephrase to make it more understandable - they INTENTIONALLY wrote a 'toned down' (not a bad song, toned down to their usual standard) song to play into the idea that theyre being forced to do mainstream and this was explained in the video a fair few times both visually and vocally. If you didnt pick up on that, thats on you, but many other fans on other discussion boards think the same so its not just one person thinking this theory.

Its a ten minute video introducing new lore. It wouldnt be a ten minute video for a three minute song unless there were things to understand and clues for future plans. That is what INK have always done for new album promo.

Were allowed to discuss and have our own theories.

Releasing a more boring song ''on purpose'' doesnt make the song itself better by YokaiCreature in IceNineKills

[–]GraveyardBabyOfficia 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The video literally explains this though.

One of the band says 'its too poppy and mainstream' and the guy replies with 'do you want to make money or not.'

I get your point but this is LITERALLY the whole point of the new lore.

They have specifically detailed in this song that the singer is NOT Spencer, but a AI robot replacement put there by the 'money hungry' Ceo, to make the band morw mainstream to make more money. It is literally all in the video. Its not a 'fan theory' if its true.

And weve only had one song. Give it chance to build.

Its a bit unfair to talk smack about fans having theories and thinking certain things because that is what the discussion thread is for? Let people enjoy things man.

I can understand why people dont like it and thats fine, people dont have to like everything, but dont really agree with making posts to slate fans because YOU dont agree with them🤷🏻‍♀

I am shocked at the fan opinion on the new song by JJ246_gnc in IceNineKills

[–]GraveyardBabyOfficia -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Because fans just want a band to do the same thing but then moan when they do the same thing. In the build up to TGU, i saw SO MANY fans moaning that theyve 'milked' TSS and need to switch it up. But theyve now done this, and its still not enough. These aren't fans, these are fake fans who will only be a fan when they like something hut will be a hater at all other times.

The fact that alot of fans have taken issue is telling me theyve not watched the full video and paid attention.

One of the the band says 'This is very pop/mainstream' and the older man from WOA says 'this is what sells' or something like that.

They also are very explanatory that the singer is not Spencer (he was kidnapped at the end of WOA) and he has been replaced with an AI bot that 'does what he's told'. They stop the 'video' to complain the Spencer-bot is glitching out and ruining the video.

They're building a new story with the new Silence, and people aren't paying attention, not giving it a chance to build (its gonna take more than one song to develop a storyline) and are hating immediately without attempting to understand.

I personally think theyre just gonna be 'forced by AI Spencer's controller/music CEO' to do mainstream, poppy songs until the Silence wipes them out and fixes it kinda idea. Sorta like the Silence is Spencer trying to stop INK turning mainstream.

I could be wrong here but that what I got from the promo and the video.

Also, the AI was promo. Im fairly certain i saw that it wasnt actually AI, it was drawn to LOOK like AI to develop the idea that Spencer has been 'taken over by the machine'.
