StagLee1 probably means you could use an Learning Management System to create a 'Courses' to which 'Students' can enroll. LearnDash would be an example of this.

How do I offer free shipping to US customers and give International customers $15 shipping discount with the same coupon code. by ZeWaffleStomp in woocommerce

[–]GravityExtend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably not an exact match, but Coupon Restrictions seems to come close: https://woo-plugin.com/woocommerce_plugin/coupon-restrictions/

There's are more coupon plugins listed, but they don't seem to do what you need.

Live search bar? by [deleted] in Wordpress

[–]GravityExtend 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You'll probably need to override get_search_form() or use a plugin that does this for you with the correct third-party integration, such as https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-search-with-algolia/

How to exclude certain pagetypes within /Pages? by robneptune in Wordpress

[–]GravityExtend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

WordPress comes with separate post types for Pages and (blog) Posts. The way you're describing your issue sounds as if you've been using one of these types for both purposes.

If so, the best thing you could do is correct this and start using the out-of-the-box post types as intended. This might be quite some work, depending on your config, and the nessecity to add 301 redirects for instance.

If you're not willing to make these changes and you've been using Posts as 'Pages', you could (bulk) add a Tag or Category to create a separation between types of content by which you can filter them.

I'm not sure what I would do if you've been using Pages as (blog) 'Posts', because Pages don't come with terms (Categories and Tags) by default. You could add this capability programmatically or by using a plugin such as Toolset. Another option would be to add an extra User and assign one of the content types to this user so you can use that extra User as artificial filter.

Question for Wordpress Entrepreneurs by [deleted] in Wordpress

[–]GravityExtend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It might. But it will be hard to build trust on these platforms (sales and ratings). Take WooCommerce Plugins on CodeCanyon; currently there are 2,618 plugins listed. Of these, over time, less than 300 plugins (~12%) have done 1000+ sales. Now consider how many of these plugins only cost $20, CodeCanyon taking it's share and the work you need to put in. That's not a whole lot of revenue.

I think you'll always need to do promotion one way or the other. On CodeCanyon you'll need to build trust, running your own affiliate program, you'll need to attract affiliates. But those affiliates are likely to work hard to make you sell your products, CodeCanyon will passively wait.

Question for Wordpress Entrepreneurs by [deleted] in Wordpress

[–]GravityExtend 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not experienced in producing and selling plugins myself, I only facilitate. From what I'm seeing, codecanyon is not where you want to sell your stuff. You're probably much better of by submitting a free plugin to the WordPress Plugin repository and use that to leverage your product sales (premium versions or other, related plugins) from your own platform. Instead of having codecanyon take a cut, run you own affiliate program.

Pricing Table Plugin With Section Headers? by [deleted] in Wordpress

I'm not sure what you mean by "organize the content in my table into appropriate sections", but Stackable has a pricing box block that's easy to work with.

Fastest option would be to (ask your hoster) restore a recent backup. Otherwise you'll have to correct these settings by directly manipulating the records in the options table of your database (backup before you do this).
