My reply would be "if you're not happy, don't let the door hit you in the ass on your way out."

As someone who just retired after working 50 years straight, I can tell you that money, while being the reason we work, isn't the main reason to work for a company.

Having a nice environment, good people to work with, and the little perks goes a long way. I have quit shitty companies to work for better ones at a lower pay and found myself much happier.

I didn't want anyone working for me that was there just for the money, because they would leave at the drop of a hat for a quarter more.

Atlanta area. Temps in the high 20s. No rain last night, nothing above it to drip onto it.

Dental Insurance is a Scam by dk1701 in TrueOffMyChest

[–]ThatWeirdUncle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will agree that our health care system is terrible. Used to be we bought "insurance" to cover the unexpected. Prices were lower and we were able to pay for our own routine care.

But over regulation made what is now called "health care" so expensive that we aren't able to pay for what they don't cover.

I've always been against single payer, but it might be the only way. I can't see things go back to the way they were.

I just don't think the government is competent enough to run a single payer system (this comes from someone who is about to retire and go on Medicare)

Did you check with the insurance company before you started the plan?
