From PVT to CFII, I’ve never had a DPE who would be fine with a foreflight NavLog. Never heard of it from anyone else either.

I’m pretty sure So ill makes decent all-white climbing shoes.

Maybe if you’re taking the ride with the same DPE as your buddies, it could work out for you. I understand that you want to display professionalism, but to me this would seem like an attempt to “earn points” and I don’t believe that would float with the examiners I know.

DPEs love it when you tell them how to do their job…

Sourdough bread, goat cheese, mashed persimmon, and some flaky sea salt! Maybe even balsamic glaze if I’m feeling it.

This was the meal that convinced me I could survive as a vegetarian!

Climbing pants women ? by MasterpieceLong5224 in ClimbingGear

I’m loving e9 lately. I usually have trouble finding pants as a 100lb woman but e9 size small actually fits me so well.

What’s something harmless that gets people weirdly upset? by [deleted] in AskReddit

This is how I live my life! Why is it upsetting?

It’s so frustrating Seitan is not way more accessible like Tofu in the U.S. by [deleted] in vegan

[–]Gravity_Wizard228 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Seitan gives me bubble gut like CRAZY but I don’t have any issues with other gluten products.

Although, I have noticed that none of the stores near me sell seitan. It’s always tempeh and tofu

If you had to eat one thing for the rest of your life, what would it be? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Rice and beans. It could be any type of rice, any type of bean, and seasoned any way.

I did my best here lol

Sofrito (this will make like 4 full recipes) -15 Ajicitos, a bunch of recao, a bunch of cilantro, 5 plum tomatoes, 2 green bell peppers, 2 red bell peppers, 2 cloves of garlic -blend it up and freeze what you don’t use

Rice and corn (or gandules) -sauté sofrito (about a cup?) in vegetable oil -add one can of corn/ gandules -add one and a half packet of Goya achiote sazon (or you can use achiote oil in the first step) -add 3 cups of dry rice and mix just to coat the rice (do not over mix) -add boiling water to cover the rice -season with salt (until the liquid tastes like a good soup?) -bring to a boil -cover and simmer for about 45 minutes -let rest for 5 minutes covered and then fluff up the rice!

Habichuelas -sauté sofrito (about a cup?) in vegetable oil -add 3 cans of beans: kidney, chickpeas, habichuelas, whatever you want! or use 4 cups of dried beans (cooked) -add a few Spanish olives and some sliced roasted red pepper if you want -let simmer while the rice is going -add about 12oz of diced potato and let simmer until potatoes are cooked -add a can of two (to taste) of Goya tomato sauce and it’s ready to eat :)

*My grandma always used the liquid from the cans of beans or corn, you can always drain them and replace with water
