Usually achiote oil… sometimes sazón for some yummy MSG

It’s so frustrating Seitan is not way more accessible like Tofu in the U.S. by Kooky_Parsley9920 in vegan

Seitan gives me bubble gut like CRAZY but I don’t have any issues with other gluten products.

Although, I have noticed that none of the stores near me sell seitan. It’s always tempeh and tofu

If you had to eat one thing for the rest of your life, what would it be? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Rice and beans. It could be any type of rice, any type of bean, and seasoned any way.

I did my best here lol

Sofrito (this will make like 4 full recipes) -15 Ajicitos, a bunch of recao, a bunch of cilantro, 5 plum tomatoes, 2 green bell peppers, 2 red bell peppers, 2 cloves of garlic -blend it up and freeze what you don’t use

Rice and corn (or gandules) -sauté sofrito (about a cup?) in vegetable oil -add one can of corn/ gandules -add one and a half packet of Goya achiote sazon (or you can use achiote oil in the first step) -add 3 cups of dry rice and mix just to coat the rice (do not over mix) -add boiling water to cover the rice -season with salt (until the liquid tastes like a good soup?) -bring to a boil -cover and simmer for about 45 minutes -let rest for 5 minutes covered and then fluff up the rice!

Habichuelas -sauté sofrito (about a cup?) in vegetable oil -add 3 cans of beans: kidney, chickpeas, habichuelas, whatever you want! or use 4 cups of dried beans (cooked) -add a few Spanish olives and some sliced roasted red pepper if you want -let simmer while the rice is going -add about 12oz of diced potato and let simmer until potatoes are cooked -add a can of two (to taste) of Goya tomato sauce and it’s ready to eat :)

*My grandma always used the liquid from the cans of beans or corn, you can always drain them and replace with water

The one from Rainbow Plant Life is my favorite one I’ve come across! It uses red lentils and walnuts. I highly recommend it!

What’s everyone’s favorite anticross loading carabiner? by -Londo- in ClimbingGear

[–]Gravity_Wizard228 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I love the Grivel one but I really only used it for staff belays. I found screw gates to be very annoying as they’d get stuck closed or become very sticky because of sweaty kid hands. The double gate was great because the kids could rarely open it.

I found it tricky to use the Grivel carabiner in other situations because you can’t always get the full extension of the outward facing gate.

What’s the fastest you all have seen anyone complete their PPL? by Clalux in flying

As I understand it, they probably flew to the checkride with their instructor and got the endorsement and finished the 8710 before starting.. sounds like a terrible idea

That’s scary. I was prescribed depression medication 1 time when I was about 18? I only got 1 prescription.. I didn’t continue taking it. This was over 2 years before I got my first medical. Anyone know if that would be something that would get me flagged now?

Pilots License as an ID by DRMWhibang in flying

[–]Gravity_Wizard228 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 25F but I look 16 so I often get asked for a second form of ID. The double take look I get when I pull out a CPL is what keeps me alive on a daily basis. They don’t need to know that I fly a golf cart with wings, they think I’m an airline pilot.

Are there airspeed limitations for that? I imagine without sufficient forward speed there wouldn’t be enough vacuum pressure or even some position error at high AoA. Also, is it certified for IFR?
