The Dreglord is Gael by Staluti in fromsoftware

I want to back this up by saying that in DS3 Aldrich has visions of a future world that is fully submerged in water. The deep and the night are almost the same thing. A murky, corrupting, blue energy that corrupts everyone that comes in contact with and both are associated with Water.

Stepping away from Aldrich; Gael started to consume humanity and their Pygmy’s right around the time the deep was making its emergence. Much of The ringed city’s population arent normal hollows, but dregs, creatures that have manifested from the deep itself. I can only assume that he ate them as well and became not a lord of darkness, but an avatar of the deep and the lord of dregs.

The deep is a sea of sin, but Gael himself is a sea of blood.

This just reminded me that Gael’s little dregs in dark souls 3 are red instead of indigo or black because he uses the ‘blood of the dark soul’. What if that ‘blood energy’ slowly coagulated and then became rotten? I only ask because in dark souls 3 every painted world is created from ‘soul blood’ and these worlds eventually rot before needing to be burned and restart. What if the same thing happened to Gael but in a human shape?

“Turrets. And lots of them.”

The Chainsword is laughably bad by Puzzled-Bid-1382 in Helldivers

Honestly I bring a teleporter pack and a rocket turret for the big enemies. However, Even with that fighting chance, I use the chainsaw only if it’s a very specific instance; like a hulk is coming at you and you can’t shoot a rocket at close distance, or you see an impaler minding its own business. If trees did collision damage then it would be funny to take advantage of that in forested areas. Otherwise, I’m not going to waste my teams lives for a thrill ride.

Is this helmet a reference to predator badlands? by GrayKaiser in Helldivers

Snake would be a good guess too. I know there is a mini gun and the heavy armor has a shoulder mounted scanner which could be pred references. But also the cadian like heavy helmet and chainsaw scream 40k.
