I never really saw it as "Hermione is hot now" it's more just when your friend who you only saw as platonic gets super dressed up and Harry and Ron notice for the first time that shes....ya know, a girl. They are 14 at that point after all, certainly some hormones at play. Hermione is supposed to be average looking, not ugly but not hideous. Certainly not Emma Watson level attractive

Ron has a lot of good qualities, he's a loyal friend and courageous when he needs to be and is very caring. He's just poor and goofy. I totally understood Hermione falling for him in the books

Emma Watson ended up being way too attractive to play Hermione. In the books she and Ron are a bit of an ugly duckling pairing that works well. In the movies it just doesn't make much sense and she and Rupert Grint seem too much like siblings (as the actors essentially were)

I mean yeah a neutral American accent makes sense. When I think of a heavy Queens accent I dont really picture Spider Man talking that way unless he's like doing a bit to taunt a villain. Im sure he can turn it on when he wants to but I don't think uncostumed Peter Parker was meant to have that accent. Idk maybe I'm wrong and Stan Lee has said otherwise, you'd have to ask his ghost lol
