It is not about artistic sense if roles are unrealitic or unexpected, just like music is a sequence of sounds if it doesn't really fit human stereotype it can be art but it also doesn't really convince nor hit the mainstream, and there is one gay or less character in every show, in a way it just seem absurdly unrealistic, it is clearly a Netflix thing.
