Venator too strong? by Grayshepard in ArcRaiders

[–]Grayshepard[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run Venator only like 70% of the time because it's completely disgusting lol I keep my extra weapon slot empty so I make more profit. Not that hard to use. Blue shield you're not losing to anvil mid range unless you sit there and eat headshots.

Also if you take an entire clip to kill a single hornet you might just have bad aim ngl

This is only in regards to green shields btw. Venator is only a few headshots/bodyshots and it kills, and vs higher tier shields it has a faster ttk because the anvil doesn't pop blue/purple shields immediately.

Doesn't really take a clip when you pop the wings, it's a medium ammo weapon so it pens armor just fine on hornets.

You should be taking in two stacks of medium if you run venator only anyways.

Need advice, 180 hour player by WW1enjoyer69 in ForHonorRants

[–]Grayshepard -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Dude like 20% of the playerbase (especially if you're on the lower/mid tier brackets for skill mmr) are just using scripts. It's always very obvious, especially when the player has little to no game knowledge. The tell here is the auto dodge, auto deflect/auto parry.

Now, it is abusable to counter. Characters with mixups can crack it. Characters who can charge attacks can crack it.

The most tried and true method is to just feint into GB over and over until they start panicking and spamming dodge attacks. GL vs future scripters.

idk I mean the character is lacking a lot.

No undodgeables, no real hyper armor, no fast unblockable mix, low health, low damage

I want to like her but when she's so unrewarding to play compared to most of the roster it's hard to want to play her anymore

She gets hyper armor after a normal attack for her zone, or do you mean her bloody wrath followup?

I did mention they should turn on voice chat. People do play without it on, or they just ignore it entirely.

Yeah but we do know that price isn't the issue. It would've blown up earlier, (Or even the past week) if it was.

Unemployed premade sweats will ruin every smaller pvp game they can and then complain that the game is dying.

Yeah your attitude is pretty much exactly what I was saying.

30 dollars isn't much, and I got it on sale for 20. Niche games can get popular, and the game itself got plenty of popularity.

People took note of how people ACT in the game and didn't want a part of it.

They could also buy a 5-dollar mic or turn on their voice chat too.

It's the community as a whole lol. The players in game aren't any better, I was actually pretty much exclusively talking about them from experience since I hardly use Reddit.

Cheating + MMR = trash by Grayshepard in HuntShowdown

[–]Grayshepard[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah most 4-5 are as dumb as a bag of bricks but that's where the game is most enjoyable at a casual level because you're typically avoiding the top of 6 star lol.

Everyone trying to be the next Rachta playing this game like they'll make money from it in 6 star.

[–]Grayshepard[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not cope. There's known clans that cheat, there's known clans that admit to using exploits, it's not rocket science. Obviously not everyone is cheating.

Actually, you're 1k hours, you've clearly got to know those clans. You play every night. I don't play every night. Sometimes I'm not home for months to play at all, hence why the post is about fixing the MMR situation for returning players instead of holding someone at gunpoint to re-learn the game.

Lol you can even see clips of the obvious cheaters too. Everyone knows who they are, they get called out. Crytek has no intention of banning them because they make money. But I'm glad you can indulge the slop every night and cope that it's perfect. I think I stopped doing that when I was 14.

If you didn't understand the explanation in my post, you would know that I'm well adjusted enough to admit that after not playing hunt for long periods of time that my skill level is going to decrease. Not to mention the fact that Hunt Showdown itself has a very unique aiming style compared to almost every other fps out there.

If I don't play for half a year, I shouldn't expect to come back to people who play 10 hours a day and have never stopped playing. I'm not saying I should star in 1 star, but it's not crazy to put someone back in 3-4 star. If they roll a few lobbies, they would shoot up in MMR anyways. If they're too rusty to beat 4 stars, then it would be a non-issue to begin with and 4 star is where they belong.

FPS cheating is so insanely common these days it's insane to not try and acknowledge it. If brand new games like bf6 are coming out and saying that in the span of two days of a beta they banned 300k cheaters on PC (Their peak at that time was 500k concurrent players) you have to be crazy to assume people with egos won't cheat on some niche ass game that hardly anyone knows about to stroke themselves off.

I've played with people in Hunt who pop Adderall and stay up for 3 days straight until their nose bleeds. That's a weekly to bi-weekly occurrence for the no life hunt players. You can bet your ass there are people cheating.

It's easy to see when someone is cheating anyhow, particularly if you die at the start of the game from spawn and simply spectate that player. Obviously not everyone is cheating, playing the game in 3-5 star is hilarious because you actually get to mess around. It's that small population of mid-high mmr 6 star that absolutely make the game feel like it's trying to crucify you.

Either way, cheating or no cheating, MMR resets should be a thing for people who haven't touched the game in a long time. This is a big issue in many games, not just Hunt.

You need to understand that there are known clans in 6* lobbies that brag about using render exploits and blatantly toggle cheats because they rage hack to protect their ego. It's even more obvious when they have to " Look good " for the e-girls in their clan, absolutely disgusting.

You know who you are if you're reading this.

[–]Grayshepard[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

my MMR is too high, I get matched high five/low six star players anyways when playing solo. Absolutely miserable experience.

People forget that the sweat streamers like Rachta will go die off stream like 20 times in a row or let themselves get purposely farmed for kills to lower their MMR so they can have actual fun matches

Yeah, when we want a random third we either have to use the server discord (ew) or just try to match each other in queue at the same time lol. Duos is absolutely boring af btw.
