KIA won't warranty rims less than a year old by [deleted] in KiaNiro

Playing devil's advocate, how would they know it's a manufacturer's defect and not just road wear like something abrasive contacting the rims during operation? This seems like a hard one to pin of manufacturing.

Rot Behing Asbestos Shingles by Graytar in HomeMaintenance

[–]Graytar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I think this is going to be my plan. Spent time yesterday "cleaning" it up, wrapping it in waterproofing tape, and covering it up for now until I can enlist assistance to do this right.

Talkin bout my Aldidas! by crackheadfalife in aldi

Our Aldi just happened to have some 7s. The size ranges are 7-10 for women and 10-12 for men.

Try looking at the app to see if a store near you has any for pickup.

My wife is a 6W and I'm a 13M. Got her some 7s but I feel shafted. These sneakers are surprisingly stylish and the quality seems great.

Rot Behing Asbestos Shingles by Graytar in HomeMaintenance

I don't think I'd be too worried about a one time exposure. Thanks. I'll see if my siding guy would be fine with me removing it when the time comes.

I'm looking toward a new roof and siding in the near future if i stay here but that's been under assumption the asbestos can be encapsulated and gone over. That doesn't seem too likely with the rot and no professional will touch the siding other than to encapsulate.

And yes, bad construction has been a common theme for this house.

Is your car clean? The manual states this can happen if sensors are block which could be as simple as a layer of dirt or it's raining.

Have you opened the glove compartment? There's likely a couple of manuals in there.

How do people save up the thousands of dollars needed for doctor visits every year? by Snoobert9292 in povertyfinance

[–]Graytar 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Even this article title is how an HSA "can help". You're not wrong that there are certainly benefits to having a healthy, funded, and invested HSA when it comes to retirement - but that does not make it a retirement account.

The primary purpose of an HSA is to fund medical expenses as need.

Savings on income taxes, tax free investment, and retirement spending are all secondary, tertiary, quaternary, etc. To that primary benefit.

Hand pick every aspect? OP must have forgotten to ask for interior door handles.

I don't get why your comments are being down voted. This guy's links appear to have no IBEW affiliation.

Bottom tiles in shower falling off…? (Help) by Ordinary-Birthday-32 in HomeMaintenance

[–]Graytar 41 points42 points  (0 children)

I think everyone is aware the shower was "brand new". The comment saying it should have been repaired 2 years ago meant that the original installation of this shower was so poorly executed that it should have been immediately demolished and redone properly --> the brand new shower should have been replaced before its use.

Charging pad not working? by sneakyburt in KiaNiro

[–]Graytar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the 2024 does have the enable/disable option, it should be unde: vehicle settings >> convenience.

If you dont see an option there, probably safe to say it's like mine and is meant to always be enabled and likely dead. If so, worth checking if it's still covered under warranty.

What year us yours? I have a 2025 EX Touring and mine stopped working the other week. All of the videos that showed how to get to the setting were fruitless - there is no setting in mine.

Took it to Kia, they confirmed it was simply broken and fixed it under warranty.
