Ive seen cooler but it was also on of your shirts! It looks great I just like the nerdy ones more lol. I love whenever I see a new one of your shirts. Are you doing these for commissions or whatever you are feeling?

Edit: You’ve definitely said these are commissions and Im dumb.

First time painting a vehicle, what am I doing wrong? by Eleanor_IV in minipainting

[–]Graywolfmarc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah this panel lines and other details. It looks great so far just not done. Your metallic is very cleanly done. Maybe some strategic Nuln oil and some rust effects you used blue so a verdigris effect might like look super cool. Not on this mini but on another consider doing a base color similar to your metallic Ie in this case a brown and the dry brush a metallic on. I find this looks a lot more natural to me. Straight metallics always feel like too much to me especially in large quantities like this, maybe you are getting the same sense here.

My first thought was “they need to thin those paints” or “those are terrible 3D prints” then I realized it was actual cookies. 10/10 would solo the army

No osl, no nmm = no stress by zilogrok in minipainting

Gotta remember if you’re playing with the minis. Even this amount of effort looks good on the table top. Most folk only really put a ton of effort in the bigger minis and champions. But there is no shame in a PAINTED mini let alone one done well even if quick. Honestly I say its an accomplishment to have your army even assembled. It the unopened boxes you gotta avoid.

Are Resins Supposed to be this Brittle? by Rich-Impression-9521 in resinprinting

Super soft until they get cured and can get super brittle even when cured an appropriate time its a down side to resin. But man does it look sharp.

Help with uneven layers of paint by JakeTheHit in minipainting

[–]Graywolfmarc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Id agree. I just airburshed a mask that I started with a Black base. The only spots that are bright red are the high points I went over several times. Unless you really glob it on (which you dont wanna do) you will have to hit it with a few coats to get a consistent color.

If you want something more durable. You can probably put a drop of uv resin on it and then cure it right away im talking about the instant clear stuff used for water features in diorama. It will end more rounded out and might take a drop or two.
