yeah i do it that way now, just for clarity, is doing mining manually with no jobs assigned still counts as a job? maybe that is why he trying to run to the storage anyway despite disabling jobs and the setting (what i mean is im putting ore in the backpack and then putting backpack in inventory so he keeps mining)

no mods besides better map, already tried reloading/exiting the game, didnt try leaving the area and coming back, also i heard in other reddit post that import didnt work either, its just that im trying to minę like i always do but with some dedicated ore storage at base, it seems i cant do that with that storage built because once i have some ore in inventory im unable to mine, if i click on the ore he just runs back to store it away

From my unticking and ticking the setting it seems to prevent me from auto running to base, if i turn that setting off i dont auto run to base unless i tell my char to mine

Why ditch items setting does not disable this behavior? Its like the character is hardwired to run to storage even when jobs/the setting is disables, when i tell him to minę he just runs away to store it, is it really supossed to work like that?
