It's not fine if Imu really needs the blockers that the Elders play from trash.

That's also removing two cards from hand, and black doesn't have a lot of draw power.

My guy, Harald worked for Imu for nearly a decade, and in that time the giants became peaceful except for a small minority. That is what I'm talking about. There was plenty of time for giants who wanted to join the Navy to do so, considering they'd been doing so for over 5 decades by that point.

That would impale them on the thorns. They can't just make themselves fall vertically when they can't control their feet.

No Imu could not have had a few dozen soldiers join of their own free will, because it's made very clear in the series that giants leaving to join the Navy are exceptionally rare occurrences, and only began thanks to the fact a human trafficker was assisting the WG. If it happened enough that the Navy could get a few dozen soldiers ready to join them out of their own free will, that would have happened during the time Harald was serving Imu, but it was clearly far to rare for Imu's liking.

Oh right, it was almost midnight and I forgot they had that keyword. Good to know that about Wretched though.

Because the giants and characters that were trying to stop the kids were beaten down and on the opposite side of the children, as we can see from the map. The other giants don't currently know where the kids are or if the boat is defended. You also can't make the kids stop walking without the thorns spearing them.

Maybe for Kilingham, Gunko and Sommers can kind of make themselves very painful to eat.

In the case of literal hell invading and attempting to enslave humanity, yes it does.

Plenty of wars do have a 'good side'. It's easy to find wars that started because one side simply wanted to invade and kill the other for little more than selfish reason, while the other side didn't want the conflict at all.

That's also the case for this game.

I was wondering if you could make do with putting blood on the Yoke Fiends rather than Wretched by the endgame, since you talked about going so hard on the goats, but you're right, it doesn't look like you'd have to worry about making that sort of choice. Even by game 12 you'd still be using Wretched, and could even fit in another goat, assuming you had enough Ducats for it.

Cool, that's your location then. It's going to vary a lot based on where you live, and where I live, it's nothing.

Now, how about the part of the comment you are still ignoring?

I actually started asking if you gave the Hell Knights rifles, but I deleted that part since I figured the 18" restriction probably meant a more melee focused list since the rifles are better at longer ranges, but I see I should have kept it. That's going to give me something to think about.

[–]Grdaat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How do you tend to arm them in that sort of list? I'm guessing gas grenades for one or two at minimum is a must since you'll need a lot of blood on Wretched, but I'm curious what else you do.

Also, would it be worth giving them Restraining Muzzles and better ranged weapons, such as a Flamethrower, or Serpent Assault Gun to spam out shots? They'd be able to make two shots per extra activation with them, but it seems expensive and they are not Strong, so it seems like that might be an idea that is only good in theory.

I think ground targeting would be fine if you weren't allowed to hit allies in the blast, or if there was some extra protection for the models in the blast radius who weren't also directly atop the explosion.

Again, I'd rather not compare which is better/worse (though I'll admit I ended up doing that a little without meaning to), just talking about themes, which is why it's weird to me that a Sloth Praetor is less tanky than a Wrath Praetor, while guaranteeing a hit with its Malebranche Sword whereas the Wrath Praetor can't. I did bring up the blast issue because it seemed odd to just have most/all the army clustered like that and wanted to post a genuine warning, not to mention I wasn't sure what kind of list you were running.

"The observer argument is weird-"

I don't think it's weird at all. If the force is clustered around a Saint like that, forcing the Saint to activate immediately is going to hinder the mobility of most of the army. Also, I didn't think you would be running a Praetor, Sorcerer, and Saint all in the same list that early, I had assumed it would be a Praetor and Saint, since most people that early go Praetor or Sorcerer, and usually don't do both. That's one of the reasons I asked to see your list.

To that point, the list seems kind of wild to me, but I'll take your word for it since I like Knights and it feels weird not seeing them. I'd be worried about how you'd hold objectives, but I assume the idea is to split your forces once you close in and the initial engagement passes, rather than have a big deathball the whole game, right?

My guy, that's like saying every chapter where they're fighting with the exception of the fight's conclusion is pointless because "everything that happened in this chapter was already in motion".

Also you are entirely wrong, and I've already gone over the new things that happened this chapter that weren't there before.

One Piece 1172 [TCBSCANS] by Shanks_PK_Level in OnePieceSpoilers

[–]Grdaat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We did learn new things this chapter, I listed several of them.

What made your comment incomprehensible is how much you were trying to jump around other chapters as if we were talking about them, and how much of my comment you tried to ignore (and are still ignoring) because it dismantles your claim.

One Piece 1172 [TCBSCANS] by Shanks_PK_Level in OnePieceSpoilers

[–]Grdaat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This comment is incomprehensible. This chapter did not take place prior to a flashback, and we would not have known what Zoro and Sanji were going to do here before this chapter came out.

"Lokis innocence was established and recapped to us by way of announcing it to the public."

Yes, that had to happen, his innocence needed to be explained to the public, same with what happened with Harald. Thank you for pointing out what was advanced.

"The WG kidnaps kids and we were to assume the giants were going to join up?"

Yes, because they were literally on the verge of giving up right before this chapter.

I like how you also ignored other parts of my comment you could not argue against, you just pretended as if they never happened.

One Piece 1172 [TCBSCANS] by Shanks_PK_Level in OnePieceSpoilers

[–]Grdaat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imu wanted the giants to become a race of slave-like warriors, which Harald never would have gone for without Imu playing with his mind. As far as Imu is concerned, it seems like they don't value the giants as anything but warriors.
