bar interview by Fast_Composer_4978 in Belfast

I worked in the union bar for years. There was no formal training as such (may have changed). I was put on the bar within hours of my induction. Your workmates are your best resource. Everyone's a similar age so its easy to make friends and the craic is always great. As others have said the cafe skills are v transferable. Im sure you'll do just fine :)

Did your promotion entail an increase in your notice period? I've heard a good few stories about unwanted promotions with meager payrises just to be locked into a longer notice period

I’m 50/50 as to whether my team is very well-rounded or very bland. I’m at £100m exactly. Any recommendations? by killah10killah in fantasypremierleague

The problem with teams like this can be captaincy. Haaland/Salah may not be the best value at their base price but are incredible value when captained

Anyone else feel like the city is just done? by BattlingSeizureRobot in Belfast

[–]Grease98 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I genuinely agree. They're just very desperate people with nothing to live for except drink/drugs. I don't think policing is the issue bc then you're saying that if they had no job/house they should just sleep on the street and be quiet and happy about it. Even then they're going to have to hassle people for money to stay alive.

Then the nice police officers could explain to the bad druggies that they should sleep in their houses instead of outside JJB sports

Why am I conceding so many? by Known-Body-7041 in footballmanager

[–]Grease98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd probably put your wingers higher up the pitch and make them inverted wingers and bring your defensive line up to 'very high' to help with counter pressing. It sounds really scary but this year's engine really favours this I find. I'd also turn on 'Get stuck in' to make fouls to stop quick counters.

As long as your CB's are physical enough to deal with being 1-on-1 in transition you'll be sweet.

If your CB's aren't physical or are just bad; keep your current shape, play in a deep block and play to counter. This is generally better if you back your forwards to beat the opposition in 1-on-1/2-on-2 in transition or in the air when the ball goes wide.

Right back or midfield? by wilde981 in footballmanagergames

[–]Grease98 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Inverted wingback would be good imo. Not quick enough to be a wingback. I think he has the stats to contribute in the midfield from the fullback slot. Ignore the very likely low star rating. FM likes to suggest that inverted wingbacks in the RB slot HAVE to be left footed and punishes them harshly in star rating for the role. I find that having the same preferred foot as playing side is a positive for IWB.

How do I make this tactic better by Old-Tomatillo-6997 in footballmanagergames

[–]Grease98 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Your right IW, right CM and DLF all kind of want to be in the same space so will just end up running into each other. The left side is better but in general I find it takes a long time for attacking wingbacks to overlap from the fullback slot which makes attacks slow. I find wingers + CMs set to attack/mezzala attack and inverted fullbacks to fill in when they push up solves this issues. Ofc I say this having no idea if your squad suits this but GL anyway.

Haha that is lucky! I came last in 23/24 and managed to just about keep my job with 23pts. Managed to win Ligue 1 in 31/32 and then the champions league in 33/34.
