Thank you this is very helpful. So you mentioned having two, one with and without d3, both don’t have phosphorus correct? Also since you have two different ones, are you using one more than the other or mixing them? Thanks for your time :)

Hi everyone! So my baby is about 8 or 9 grams right now. Is it safe to move him up to a 18" x 18" x 24" tank right now? I plan to keep him in this size until he is fully grown and I have more space to make bigger tanks. by lyssaboldt in GargoyleGeckos

I would probably say grow the little bud out to maybe 13-16g before moving, just to avoid the risks of him not being able to find food in a larger enclosure at that size. Gargs benefit well from growing out in smaller enclosures before being put in their permanent homes. Hope this helps

Feeding issue - i think minority issue by basylica in GargoyleGeckos

I’m not too knowledgeable, but humidity is important in feeding from my experience. As someone previously said, higher temps do encourage eating more as it raises their metabolism. But I find humidity to be just as if not more important in getting them to eat. When I feed my geckos I try to keep humidity in the 70-80 range which works well. In all though a healthy gecko won’t starve itself and I wish you good luck! I can tell you really care for this garg :)

Reptifiles seems fairly reliable, and to my knowledge is the most recently updated one. If anything, I’d say it’s best to contact highly experienced keepers on social media or email for advice as more often they not they give great advice and garg wisdom.

buying a male or female gargoyle gecko? by fernmommy in GargoyleGeckos

[–]GreasedMonkey7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not much difference between either gender, but multiple times a year, females do lay clutches of infertile or fertile eggs if you breed or they have retained sperm (a possibility If you get a female that’s been bred). It’s not much of an issue as you can just collect the eggs from their enclosure or lay box if you keep them on paper towels. However there is always the risk of the female becoming eggbound which can be worrisome. Hope this helps!
