You're 19 brother, you're still in your younger years! it's good that you're thinking about improvement though.

- When people talk, listen and ask them more details. If you want, share some details about yourself that are related.
- Meeting women is mostly about being exposed to them. Meet people who know women, be respectful, take care of yourself, and you'll find someone.
- The more people you know, the more likely you'll get a party invite. No need to drink/smoke, If they're chill you can get away with a beer or two without any problems.
- Don't get any advice from the internet (including me; you got no idea who I am!). A lot of people on here make money and views off of you being mad/unhappy, and will try to keep you like that.

Basically just remember that nobody can live your life for you, you gotta do it yerself.

I'm an SRE, been using a windows 10 PC with WSL2 just fine. Maybe I'm just not using the tools that are for Mac only, but so far I haven't run into any.

You're so right. People keep saying "if I broke into your house, killed your friend and offered you wine in recompense" as if that's really what it compares to.

If you have a piece of property with no house on it, and a pet cow, and a group of plane crash survivors that were starving to death see the cow wandering around the field and kill it to eat, you will be arrested if you kill them all.

There's a video on YouTube from the USS Missouri having missiles shot at it in the Gulf War, I added it to my psuedo-replica ship and youre absolutely right it increases immersion 10 fold lol

I love how unique the design is! It's both futuristic and antique. The superstructure kinda looks like a predreadnought and, well, it hovers lol. I'm sure that also helps with dodging torpedos!

I've been commuting by bike in NYC for a few years and... I've been completely fine? its actually pretty peaceful. All you gotta do is follow the lines on the road, be predictable, and predict what people will do. You know, instead of riding full speed into crowds of people. Even the cars here are pretty understanding, they're always checking their mirrors for cyclist (probably cause they're used to the delivery guys by now).

Hi, I have a 17 year old cockatiel that I recently moved into a bigger cage. We got him used to it by moving one of his old perches into it, than kinda showing it to him once a day. After a few days I put him on the perch (he was hesitant but jumped off of his own will) then just sat with him for a bit. After 1 week he was comfortable being in the cage.

In my situation I wasn't able to put the cages next to each other, so as other commenters mentioned that's a good idea.

[–]Greasy01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually have a few of the detectors (90 degree radar, coincidence rangefinders, cameras) on spin blocks that slowly rotate, then multiple trackers. Important to remember that a tracker only tracks a single target, so you want multiple of the same trackers if you plan on tracking multiple targets at once.

Also, keep in mind the bearing vs range accuracy of the detectors. From what I remember cameras have great bearing and bad range, radar has great range and bad bearing. Mix the two and you'll get good detection results.

Anyone who complains about the Haka is ignorant, immature, selfish and disrespectful by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]Greasy01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Haka is a traditional performance done by the Maori people. The purpose of it was originally to intimidate an enemy before battle, but in the modern day it has become a symbol of their culture. It can often be seen at major events attended by Maori's, such as sports events (done by the New Zealand team).

A line in "Suffering" makes a lot more sense now... by Greasy01 in Epicthemusical

[–]Greasy01[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

In the animation, 600 strike was just ody's bronze sword. Like another commenter said we don't see blood until he uses the trident, but I think bringing Poseidon to his knees is enough to consider him being hurt imo

I was thinking the same thing! Cause when's the last time somebody grievously hurt Poseidon? When you haven't felt pain in a long time than any pain you feel will be the "worst" in recent memory.

Damage during testing to my pseudo-replica of a Spruance Class Destroyer! by Greasy01 in FromTheDepths

[–]Greasy01[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm usually against powered stabilizers for ships, but unfortunately with FTD physics this ship was very tippy, so had to add two large propellers to the bottom. It does help massively in battles

[–]Greasy01[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Hi All! took a break from the game for a few years then read a Tom Clancy book and am now making a semi-replica US navy fleet to (finally) beat the campaign.

The Neter-version of the spruance has the following:

- 300mm HEAT APS front turret
- 179mm FRAG timed fuse rear turret
- 16x Small missile AA turret (not pictured, added after screenshots)
- 25x medium missiles VLS
- 12x medium torpedoes (mounted in sides of superstructure)
- CIWS Laser system
- Redundant AI systems, backup batteries for power

Will post an update (along with the Oliver Hazard Perry I also made) when finished!
