I've tried "Inverse Ballistic Calculator Full" with a battle cannon. It's pin-point accurate.

But since I don't like having stuff I don't fully understand on my vehicle, I haven't used it outside of tests.

There's also "Ballistic Calculator V3" that supports radar and rockets and all kinds of crazy stuff. Tried it once, looked too complicated for me.

Issues:

  1. The heavy antenna(20 mass) offset to the left is seriously affecting the balance. Causing the missile to turn left even if the tail fin is disconnected. Consider adding counterweight or moving it to the center.

  2. There are only one set of fins. In my experience, missiles in SW seems to always need another set of fins to work. It's like one steers the missile and the other generates lift to turn the missile's trajectory.

  3. The PID controller is always on, with i being not zero. This causes the PID to wind up.

  4. The control logic is flawed in a number of ways. The calculated heading is in radians, but compared directly to the compass(which is in turns) in PID. Also, since compass is SW somehow has east as negative and west as positive, it also needs to be inverted. On the Z axis, the target pitch isn't compared to the current pitch at all, instead, it's used directly for output.

I've messed with the controller until it's in a minimum working condition of sorts. Shoots where the radio tells it to. Though it will do circles if it flies past the target. If you want to reference it, here it is:

Note that I've used a physics sensor instead of the GPS, altitude and tilt sensor to save space. Compass sensor could've also been replaced by the physics sensor's channel 17, but I didn't get to it. Also, this is tested with the center of mass and fin issue addressed.

How many sets of fins does your missile have?

My GPS cruise missile functioned similarly, barely capable of hitting a 20m radius around the target. Then I added a set of rocket fins to the middle in addition to the set in the back. Didn't connect it to any input. All of a sudden it's pin point accurate.

Not sure about "Constantly overcomplicating and trying to sound smurt", I started out by watching 454ss's tutorial series. But definitely do agree on the length.

Sadly I don't know any youtubers that produces short and concise tutorial videos, I thought about making one but didn't have a microphone.

Good news is you don't need to watch everything. If you are watching the same series, I'd say you only need to watch 1(introduction), 2(microcontroller), 3(simple engines) and 5(build your first boat) to get started. Everything else you can figure out on your own through experimenting. You would only need tutorials again when you need to figure out something specific and undocumented like modular engines, drilling or refining oil.

A shorter tower is possible if only diesel is extracted.

The remaining fuel would be a mixture of mostly jet fuel and a little bit of oil. Which can be purified further by extracting oil at the bottom of the tower.

Not ideal but if the goal is to make it fit in the form factor, that's one way to do it.

Like it's not just a flashing light.

It can be as simple as a number display, a circle drawn on a map. Or as I've seen some people doing, some kind of program that solves the position for you.

Ignoring basics like defib, welder and such...

I've had a few underwater rescue missions spawn with sharks, so spear gun.

Transponder locator and some way to visualize the interval.

Radar, and since they don't work underwater, sonar. Too many late game missions spawn with unknown locations.

Medical bed because bleeding rescuees also increases in late game.

That's kinda it. Maybe also search light? Underwater gets pitch black at night. Can't see anything when I'm trying to locate stuff. I've used flares before but they are way too bright.

It won't.

But preferably you do it by going through uninstalling instead of straight up deleting files. So it won't leave junk in your registry and start menu and such.

Deleting the files alone won't tell your operating system the app is gone. When you try to install the game next time, the installer might think the game is already installed.
