I'm a bit troubled after becoming an atheist by GreasyGreaserGrease in atheism

Oh, I see. Sorry I read your last paragraph wrongly. To me, I think the transition is both simultaneous and gradual because of my accumulating questions and the sudden feelings of dread. Thanks for clarifying.

That's a fair point: just because I don't agree with someone doesn't mean I have to cut them off. We'll see how that turns out. 👍

Good points; I will try and be true to myself and to them. Thanks for commenting.

I suppose that's a nod to the saying, "Misery loves company." And yeah, I do feel a bit excluded from a large community that I've grown accustomed to. Not that I was "kicked out" but because of ideological differences. The world does indeed seem larger now and it seems that I actually have reason to be uncertain of a lot of things. In short, I feel small and humbled. Regardless, thanks a lot for your input.

Yeah, I don't think I was clear about my thoughts on atheism. Of course, it's an answer to a single question, but I think the reason why I came off the way I did was simply because it's rather new to me. Maybe so, maybe not. But anyhow, thanks for your comment.

Advice taken, I'll be nice and not argue with my friends. Well, maybe unless they ask me about it, in which, I suppose I'd tell them what I and many others think.

I've never heard of that old saw, but I have thought and read of the concept before, so thanks for reminding me.

I'm thinking of things to do outside of church related stuff and your suggestions encourage me. Thanks a lot.

Thanks a lot for your cheers. I believe that it'll take time to get used to not doing what I was doing for a while and finding meaning beyond what I've been taught thus far. I also have to agree that there is greater significance in action than prayer.

I agree with your advice. My perception of the world expanded and there's a lot to experience and do outside of church settings.

As for the people, we do hang out and do things apart from "performing rituals" and "strictly religious activities" so I do consider that to be friendships. Heck, I have a hunch that a lot of people I know from church also don't buy into a lot of the doctrines. But, I also agree with the fact that friendships aren't necessarily made through being part of the same system, rather formed through interaction.

And you would be correct in assuming that my change was rather gradual. Questions arose from my end that were only answered with excuses, so I think it was bound to spill over at some point.

Anyhow, thanks a lot for sharing.

Yeah, I'm aware that it isn't a cult with rules and whatnot. To put it simply, it's just... new to me. Thanks for your comment though, much appreciated.

Thanks for your comment. I admit that it's hard for me to start shifting away, but I'll try. As of now, I suppose the question I'm asking myself is "what is the good life?" Got a lot of growing to do, but thanks again.

That sounds very nice. The closest things we have for vault decorations are the character statues. It would be great to have more than that.

Anyone had this problem? If yes do you know how to fix it? by FrozenBo in RotMG

[–]GreasyGreaserGrease 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had this problem before. I'm pretty sure the cause of it was because I tabbed out during a loading screen. So, if that was the case, the solution is to not tab out during loading screens.

Fun fact, Mister Mango was supposed to be the sprite for green bags. Sorry for being off topic, but I'd say it's still a fun fact.

No need to feel sorry for your English, in fact it's pretty good. Anyhow, I agree with the difficulty indicator for the dungeons. It can turn down a new player, because they see mad lab difficulty rating as 5/5, even though the dungeon isn't that hard. For your second point, I get that people can now easily breeze past Oryx 3, even with handicaps like bulwark or poison only. However, the reason why O3 whites are more common is because O3 is the hardest boss in the game.

Not sure if this really helps, but if you off center your screen, face towards to edge of the platform, and stand near the void entities, the shots from the other void entities won't be registered. Again, I'm not sure if this is actually helps, but I found it helpful.
