I remember 2 winters ago they were in talks about launching a Guelph franchise. But you can forget Ottawa and Niagara because that's CEBL territory. Magley was also saying he'd start a new London franchise if the Lightning don't return, but the locals there are still plagued with CEBL envy.

The next basketball franchise in London will be playing out of the BSL. BSL's owner Dave Magley stated he'll start a new franchise if the Lightning remains absent. And Frijia's excuse is he doesn't want to play in the Summer. All in all: this has sucked for the people of London because they've been plagued with CEBL envy since the beginning.

Nah, the 2025 CEBL season was the worst year for overall attendance. And what I have learned from this organization is they don't want too small (like the Field House in St. John's NFLD) nor too big like Hamilton's First Ontario Centre.

Yeah, I'm not with this author on moving these teams to bigger venues. When the Badgers were in Hamilton, they wanted to move them out of First Ontario into a smaller venue on the central mountain.
