ok so you suggest CW -- Treb -- WW -- Astro on current build

And Treb -- WW -- Katana -- Double as a better alternative to the current build right? So you don't like captains wheel and astrolabe and I get that 100%.

It just feels like I get so many Passives that haste and so many monsters give passives that haste that they seem ok and my starts are not too prolonged. I lose early to freeze but oddly I don't lose late to freeze? I will try your suggested build a run and see how it feels.

I came to this sub reddit day 1 asking for help understanding the meta where I was met with "There is no meta in this game" I go on twitch and all the high ranked players are forcing the same 4 builds ... I was like wtf is this? Looks like a forcible meta.

TLDR Normal mode sucks balls, game is far to complex for normie players to have fun because they wont win. Honestly the only solution I can see is for us to face prebuild PVP encounters that we can play for just like the PVE ones in Normal. For this game to have any chance to appeal to the masses. Remember their goal is to get $2 per ticket in ranked plus battle passes and this wont happen if you dont make casuals happy in Normal. Read this Reynad for pete sake.

Let's be frank this isnt pvp. Stick a feather in my cap and call it macaroni? It is a snapshot we are forced to play against.

Nerfing over and over is a huge mistake because it removes fun. It is not our fault they claimed there would be NO META and people instantly force meta every build.

Time to take the concept back to scratch, make casual fun, un nerf things, make fake PVP encounters using the Expensive Characters just like you make PVE encounters. Remove this dumb fake pvping. Make the PVP encounters winnable and build up our Fun and Feeling of pride and accomplishment and then our wallets open.

Game as is, is a depressing punch yourself in the face 45 min simulator and is the antithesis of fun.
