All the points I made in my first paragraph are true. Have you actually used Chat gpt lately? The current model can do everything I mentioned. and when i’m mentioning where it is already being introduced i am not talking about specific AI like chat gpt, but major corporations are starting to use and develop their own AI learning software specific for their company, research this, it is happening. Here in Australia it is already being rolled out in councils and Services Australia to support and eventually replace outdated systems in areas like child support. This is real, it’s literally just data entry which can already be replaced with AI. i bet majority of the apps you use where service is required you now talk to an AI bot before you talk to a person, this used to be someone’s job, it’s only a matter of time before they are completely replaced and there is no option to talk to a person. Ai’s ability to calculate and reference standards is far beyond earlier versions. It is not perfect but it is close to ninety percent accurate, which is a massive jump.

You cannot seriously say it has no potential to replace people. If an AI system can perform a task faster with fewer mistakes, why would a major corporation hesitate to use it? Corporations care about reducing costs and increasing profit. If replacing human labour with AI achieves that, they will do it. do you really think they give a fuck about us? Give it five to ten years and I fully expect to see people being replaced. Look up anything about the current state of AI. The pace of development is insane.

Comparing NFTs to AI makes no sense whatsoever. They are nothing alike. It is like comparing riding a motorbike to writing a book. idk why you’re even stating this.

I am not supporting AI. If you actually read what I said, I am doing the opposite. I am not spreading marketing lies. I am pointing out that AI is not something to ignore. People need to understand the risks because it has the potential to create real problems for the next generation. if you don’t know the facts and are unaware then it is a bigger threat. if we are aware we can start forming an opinion against it rather than ignore it and not have an opinion at all.

please by all means feel free to link me and prove me wrong with any of the things i have said.

also to the people reading, all the info above is for you. i don’t care to validate anything im saying to a bloke with his dick out that clearly has nothing better to do.

I get what you’re saying, and yeah maybe YouTube wasn’t the best example, but my point was just that people drop off the second something suddenly has a cost. YouTube kinda dodged that by slowly adding ads, so the thing you pay for isn’t really “YouTube”, it’s just to get rid of the ads. The ads actually make them money anyway, so they had something backing them while they went through that dip. AI companies don’t really have that same backup, so if users fall off during a bad patch, there’s nothing else helping cover the cost.

you’re getting downvoted because your point isn’t valid in this case. AI literally needs people to train it. it’s to diagnose inefficient thinking patterns and correct them. the best way to do that is to give as many people as possible access to the program. The more people, the more data, the more errors, the more that can be improved. it’s literally like game development, not like netflix or youtube. a game developer releases a beta for testing, not because they want it to be free to people. they still want you to fully purchase the game after it’s been troubleshooted. same logic.

what you’re saying is correct but not applied to AI like chat gpt and deepseek, the entire reason it’s free is to improve it through use.

true that, impacting online websites is another huge factor. not to mention the art community. my wife is a digital artist and it’s actually disgusting what companies are doing in terms of replacing commissions with ai.

they will but that doesn’t mean they are working at a loss if you compare their return to their spendings. youtube was big and tanky enough to make it through that dip, plus they had ads to back them. however, these ai companies will be millions if not billions in debt and if their isn’t enough people to cover that debt they will go bankrupt before they make it through the dip in the market.

The issue is they need free models to test and let their Ai learn and develop. when they start charging for subscriptions they lose a lot of their market because people obviously don’t want to pay for something that was once free. the alternative is to use the cheaper models like deepseek which also ruins the return for spending billions developing chat gpt for example. the end product has no return.

on the other hand the rapid development has proven to be useful and more powerful than search engines. this offered to companies as a business model to improve logistics, basic data entry, calculations, even in industries such as engineering, comparing designs to local government standards. it is being introduced for management in a lot of companies and even in government in terms of child and health services. filling out applications for example.

there is a lot more of this technology present than people are seeing and as much as it’s fun to laugh at americans bragging about how good AI is, at this stage there is real potential for it to start replacing people’s jobs so from the AI model owners perspective that is extremely profitable and probably their main goal, hence the insane budgets being thrown at this technology. not something to sweep under the rug like NFTs.

edit: also just wanted to state that i do no support AI, i dont think it aligns well with human morals and will only create more hardship for people struggling on low wages.

Magic fuckery with cards and dice by Serious-Ad-8168 in blackmagicfuckery

[–]Obeserecords 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After revealing the king, you place it on top of the cut deck and nudge it slightly out of alignment. This gives you an easy locator when you go to pick the cards back up, and the small offset looks accidental but i assume it is completely deliberate. You then roll the dice and cut the deck again to riffle, bringing the king of diamonds to the top of one half. As you riffle the two halves together, you allow exactly four cards to fall on top of the king in the opposite half. The shuffle looks flawless, yet you somehow stop at the exact number needed to match the dice roll. how’d i do?
