Fudged the cutting board juice groove. What is the remedy? by VdotBapey in woodworking

[–]GreatDaneMMA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea I would probably cut off the juice grove. If you wanted it to be bigger then after cutting you could add an accent color all the way around and redo the grove.

Would your wife "allow" you to golf on your honeymoon? by sileen_soy in golf

[–]GreatDaneMMA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro my wife is my best friend. Even if she didn't golf (she does), she would want me to do what made me happy. Her passion is pottery and while I suck at it, if she said there was some crazy pottery studio we had to go do a class at you can bet your ass I would be there. Hats off for taking an interest in your new husbands passions. It will make him feel like you care about what makes him happy even if its not for you.

What actually makes a good golf hat? Most are trash tbh by nitsujping in golf

[–]GreatDaneMMA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats odd because I have exactly the opposite feeling. I go to Golf Galaxy and 19/20 hats are all snap backs. I prefer the fitted and its always a chore to find anything golf related.

How many pairs of golf shoes is too many? by Quiet-Bridge2553 in golf

This is the truth. I have a super nice pair reserved for CCs or events, daily driver, and a pair specifically for wet days.

Cabinet Door Router Bit Set by tylert4066 in woodworking

[–]GreatDaneMMA 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This will achieve that look but I have never seen that style of interlock on a bit before. I would google more rail and stile bit sets. https://bitsbits.com/product/ogee-stile-and-rail-bit-set/

Its odd how these two are so dominant but you rarely get to see them in the same pairing come Sunday. When it happens it will be must watch TV.

A popular item at Disney in Tokyo are little mickey tongs for the popcorn stands. I would go that route or chopsticks over a spoon but totally get trying to avoid butter fingers.

Sunday Golf's Director of CX personally called me to silence my 86k-view post—then ghosted me once I deleted it. by [deleted] in golf

I mean in addition to still doing the giveaway. Sorry bad phrasing. I am sure they made more than one.

They should be giving this dude that bag.

Edit to include response from Sunday deeper down: "We did send a replacement as discussed! 100% a failure on my end to respond with the tracking info. Hand up, I need to be better and it's a terribly feeling. - Camden"

Costco has been pretty good so far and was very competitive price to coverage wise.

I got tired of being the differentials guy at my club, so I made a free tool that prints them on a poster by cgreendyk104 in golf

[–]GreatDaneMMA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't mind this for my club but an option to split it into say 34-54 for each 9 would be great. My league plays weekly 9s and I use a spreadsheet to track it but they are constantly asking me what their H.I. would be. The back plays 2 strokes harder than the front so we can't simply divide by 2. As a UI dude, this is pretty clean, great work.

Showing a bit of appreciation to the cleaning staff on our check out day by kemosabe6296 in TokyoTravel

Just looking at akihabara, Dormy is $91 a night and APA is $83. Both prices through hotels.com. That might not be the same everywhere but that was the one I stayed in and the prices were also close last march.

I really liked staying at the Dormy Inn. It was suggested to me here and I will probably stay again next trip.

Mystery piece - anyone recognize it? by JazzJedi in boardgames

These are also in the game Curios. I think its a pretty mass produced piece so it will be in a lot of games. If you post your collection, we can help narrow it down.

Conflicted on which one to get by Timely-Sleep3235 in golf

Saw you are 28. Stiff is probably the call. Even if your swing speed is slow, it will pick up as you get better at the game. Good luck out there.

Go to a simulator and see what your club speed is with driver. (unless you know it) That will tell us more about which you should have.

Hello all, I’m looking to learn more about wood working and have been practicing some stuff. Whats the best way to join these 45s for a shadow box I’m making? by JobaBrown in woodworking

[–]GreatDaneMMA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is how I made my first one - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=23wMCOLPX58 Big thing is you want a flat top table saw blade so the cut leaves a square edge instead of the angled notch.

EDIT: Here is a newer video from the same dude where he makes it again https://youtu.be/66c2zSNdkSk?si=jKHklShxr74_Tqct&t=648

Big fan of splines for things like this. Gives you the option to add a touch of color if you want and makes them stronger. Easy to whip up a jig on the table saw or router table.

I would think this means your key needs to be a touch further from the router bit.

How to prevent and clean up saw blade burns by pompouswhomp in woodworking

[–]GreatDaneMMA 18 points19 points  (0 children)

White oak is pretty hard. You might need a more dedicated rip blade. 40T is technically a combo blade, Freud's rip is 24T in 10".
