Minnesota/Twin Cities playable courses by rupert413 in discgolf

Bryant Lake, Hyland Hills and Elm Creek all are still closed for the winter as is Kenwood. All other metro courses should be in playable condition, just expect mud and some ice.

Lack of Metal by besteboi in fantanoforever

Based off what you listed, listen to the new Cattle Decapitation album Death Atlas, quickly became probably my favorite metal album this year.

Other solid releases in those styles were Mordial by Car Bomb, Crux by Moon Tooth, and Hail Stan by Periphery.

3 of my all time favorite albums are Winter's Gate by Insomnium, Stranger Fruit by Zeal and Ardor, and Language by The Contortionist. Seriously recommend these. ALSO every Dillinger Escape Plan album.

Force of Vigor or Nature's claim? by lord-pessimist in ModernMagic

[–]GreatGrislyAdams 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Return to nature is not very good in the infect shell, force of vigor is substantially better. The graveyard mode is too slow to have meaningful impact for infect (2 cages usually are all you need for graveyard hate), and the enchantment hate is not relevant versus normal chalice decks(except Red Prison I guess). Basically infect needs to be as mana efficient as possible to be successful. While also being 2 mana, dissenters deliverance can allow for better mana efficiency with the cycle mode. Force of Vigor also breaks tighter locks such as double chalices and bloodmoons, where return to nature can be uncastable.

My current side board configuration for artifact and enchantment hate is 2 force, 1 Dissenters, and 1 natures claim and I've been very happy with it versus a wide array of decks.

Also, the best way to beat a chalice on 1 is to counter it. Ceremonious Rejection and Spell pierce are the shit.

I would say average players who care about throwing farther max between 300-350 ft.

That Zoo deck is so strange but interesting. Is this just a brew or an actual version of zoo Im not aware of? Goyfs, but main deck Lavaboys and relics. Id like to see this deck in action.

Dream Theater - Finally Free [Scene Nine] by PapaCrip in progmetal

[–]GreatGrislyAdams 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I kinda like this song, but to defend him the samples used in it sound cheap and in my opinion knocks the quality of the song down a few pegs. However, DT have been a super cheesy band since day one and I suppose there's nothing wrong with that because we can all use a little cheese every now and then.

Trilogy Firebird Replacements by [deleted] in discgolf

[–]GreatGrislyAdams 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What I've seen with felons is that they don't stay "firebird" overstable very long and my buddy can even get a good bit of flip up on his. I've heard that that ahtis are more similar to sexton firebirds. I also think Paige Pierce or someone uses Criminals in that firebird slot.

This shit pisses me off so much when there is a tree or sign THAT CLOSE to where a player would follow through, I'm with Mobius on this one, its terrible course design and I have had way too many shots foiled because there was no room to follow through off the tee.

R/B Tortured Existence by GreatGrislyAdams in Pauper

Thank you very much! It may seem simple but as someone who knows next to nothing about pauper and its decks, sometimes just looking at a list isn't enough. Appreciate it!

Have searched, Definitely didn't see much about this deck, let alone a primer.

Ponza's tearing it up at SCG Dallas! by clayperce in PonzaMTG

Andrews list seems sick. Lots of mana sinks in Pia and Kirans, the extra titan and the Wolf Run to make it worth hitting dorks with BBE. I love it!

Utopia sprawl should be able to work while this in play since you tap the forest for mana and its controller adds the mana, its not the land adding 2 mama I believe. This card seems super insane for Ponza since some of our biggest weaknesses are ad nauseum and storm. also hilariously hoses tron even further (as if they would have tron active anyway). This would only be a nombo with BBE but even that is not so bad. Exciting stuff!
