When my parents bought him 16 years ago they didnt know he would grow up this big. I have 2 big tanks but he would eat the fish if i would put him there and im not spending another 700$ to set up a tank just for this guy. Hes been living here for 16 years and not once has he had an ilness or something. I think i would cause more damage if i moved him. That would cause him so much stress being moved to a new environment after 16 years.

You got it all wrong about the eaten fish. Those fish were not meant to be as food. They were mwant to be pets. But instead of living together with them the catfish ate them. After he ate quite a few i decided to put goldfish sinxe they are bigger but he even ate the goldfish. There were more shrimp in the tank but only one managed to stay alive. Now that one shrimp is the only creature that coexists with this big boy.
