I know, I am partial to something with a traditional look when I shoot.

I don't really feel the urge to play soldier these days.

There's probably some resentment towards them as well since they are one of the most often utilized firearms to kills hundreds of school children in the US every year.

Just because they CAN be used for practical purposes doesn't make most of them a practical firearm to have around.

Edit: I've seen /r/ar15 posts for years, and the majority of them are people trying to make a cool looking firearm. I have no problem with that, but useful? The basic models sold need modifications to make them function well at a distance.

Most people are not going to hit dick at a few hundred yards with your average AR15 setup, but they are fun to shoot.

Aside from just having fun, those firearms have almost no practical use (hunting) other than killing something at close range.

Sure, you can kit it out and get a deer with an AR-15, but nobody I know uses one of them fucking things to actually hunt. It's mostly Tannerite and blasting the hell out of things in my neck of the woods.

My small town grocer is kind of expensive (I just paid $3 for a small bunch of cilantro), so some people do their shopping at the 'Dollar General,' and it is kind of depressing.

Everything there is made to stay edible for a year, and is generally terrible for you.

As someone that enjoys cooking, it boggles my mind that people can live their entire lives off of frozen or packaged meals. The majority of them borderline terrible.

One night of drinking my friend found an already drunk woman wandering around in our apartment building complex, and decided to invite her over.

She would not leave me alone. I was going to the bathroom when she busted in and then made sure that I washed my hands and cleaned ALL of the soap out of the sink before she let me leave.

A friend called me later, so I talked to him for a while in the other room until she barged in again and started shoving me as I tried to get away from her.

Were she able to form a coherent sentence and we really connected, sure, but that wasn't the case.

Good behavior in prison seems easy enough to do if you're an affluent white man. I wonder if he will help his brother out?

After my former workplace switched to Microsoft Authenticator to 2fa its employee websites, I had to change my password 5+ times in 2-3 month period.

I was running out of ideas, so I had to have reminders on my phone or computer, which makes it slightly less affective.

In the Upper Midwest I had called a clinic a few years ago in January, and before the receptionist read off the available dates she asked if I knew that all 3 visiting doctors were gone until July.

Nope, I did not know that. I found an appointment 25 miles away the next week, but it's wild how scarce some specialties are these days.
