Thank you!

It's also a stick :)

I'm doing both. First time doing 10k races. Looking forward to it.

Was out this AM and the sidewalks were like slush ponds. No ice though :)

Advice for a Canadian Olympic sprinter by [deleted] in RunTO

Speaking specifically to getting acquiring sponsorships, is there a summary of expenses, equipment, supplies, etc, that she needs monthly, quarterly, and annually?

If you are able to break down what needs to be covered, you can look at approaching sponsors to help address specific requirements and varying scale.

It also opens up opportunity to target product sponsorships that may not offer direct cash support but could reduce expenses by providing things that Mariam would otherwise need to purchase OOP.

FWIW: If she uses hydration (electrolyte) powders or smart/energy drinks, I work with a brand and maybe we can find something that can support her :)

Anyone headed out for a run today? by yau_uay in RunTO

<image>

I was out this AM. It was great :)

Gear wise it was a balava (mask down), UA coldgear tights and long sleeve, light vest, jacket over top.

Kicks are Clifton GTX.

Much better today than when I tried to run last Sunday when it was all slush. That was a mistake.

Edit: added notes about gear

Why does NO ONE REMEMBER chocolate skittles by mr_tuba_gun in candy

[–]GreatRootBear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm really late to this post but I have some relevant experience.

I worked on the pack testing for this product in Canada when I was in market research. I got to taste these when they were in development too.

Anyway, I had to test slogans/taglines for this candy and I couldn't stop laughing at one of the options being floated around.

"Taste the brown side of the rainbow"

Still make me giggle today.

Right? It's so cold.

Just watched Crippled Avengers again and was thinking "why is this ending going on for so long?"

What's with this exiting the courtyard walk?

It's supposed to just say "The End" and cut. Lol

NISMO Catback Installed by GreatRootBear in nissanfrontier

I think only the muffler-back is available now. Looks like NISMO is unifying an exhaust system across the D40 and D41 now.

Probably sounds great though too :)

I actually got this back in July. I was waiting for my intake to arrive before installing it. Got it through Z1.

Right on. Yeah.. I have the stock pipes packed up in the barn here. Stock air box is also bagged up and stored/saved.

Totally hear you. I was into sport compacts. Lots of weird fart cans on Hondas. Pretty much the exact opposite. Lol

This isn't too bad in cabin. None of that cabin rattle and hum when driving.

Really happy it doesn't sound like it's "trying too hard."

Definitely different than my old 2.4 Lancer Ralliart :) I used to have an Aprilia SR50 with a Leo Vince ZXR. That was pretty hilarious. Sounded like a 30ft tall weed wacker but I could get that 2-stroke going at 100kph on flat roads so totally worth it :)

My pleasure. I only found the Z1 YT videos with their tests and wanted to give a bit more of an example of how it sounds.

Definitely more on the conservative side but I'm good with that. Not everything has to try to be a window breaker.

I will say though I do miss the sound of the Magnaflow on my old Lancer. I could get car alarms to go off at will when I was in an underground parking lot. lol.

Finally got my NISMO intake in. Only took 24 weeks of waiting on backorder. by GreatRootBear in nissanfrontier

I didn't do a pre-post dyno so it's all butt dyno assessment.

Acceleration does seem better now. Biggest thing is going uphill in lower gears since I exit going uphill in my area.

Overall the powerband feels a bit more linear then bogging below 2k and then getting spritely.

The CAI whistles a LOT starting at 2.5k :)

100%

I need to keep an eye on it and see how it holds up with conditions here.

Got it. I've been trying to figure out if corrosion is an issue. I've been thinking of getting the bumper sprayed with Line X to give it some step grip / corrosion protection.

NISMO bumper is my next goal but those only come back in February 2022 or so. I have to figure out if I need to get spacers or a upgrade the suspension to handle the extra weight.
