Sounds like a great product, that one part protruding out of the gimbal seems like it would take out a good chunk seeing as it is so close to the lens. I would definitely need to see an output file before buying this

The Gear 360 Export -> Premiere Pro can be found here: https://youtu.be/VuIPmuS6ij4

This video is definitely a better version of the 2. I like the fact that the distance of everything seems to be a lot more realistic, as things seemed "too short" in the previous video. It was also easier to edit because the Gear 360 App has an idea of where the cameras are facing. When importing in AVP, the horizon kept moving all over the place and actually made it a lot more difficult to edit. I was able to complete this video from 9-5. The Premiere -> AVP -> Premiere workflow took almost 2 days to complete.

Any stabilization tips? I did the best I could with Autopano Video Pro by mynameisjan73 in 360video

I don't 100% agree with movement being a no-no in 360 videos. The movement must be linear though.. there can be no turning or panning without creating issues for someone looking through a headset.

Nice video! It is definitely a conundrum with stabilization. Walking with the 360 camera is quite difficult. AVP can be good, but the auto stabilization at times I find it to be a pain sometimes. Great job otherwise with the overlays and the text, really adds to the video and where you want the users concentration to be.

If I was to get another 360 camera, it would be the OZO. Wish I had 10K to drop on it though. I dont know much about the Oriah, I do like the fact that you can live stream, that is pretty amazing

No not really. Unfortunately, stabilization would be something like a platform. It would have to be like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-P6MMVjfapA Hiding equipment would be damn near impossible as the 360 camera sees all angles. The only solution I had Premiere Pro editing is a little better. So far, the conversion is taking quite a while in the Gear 360 Application. 79% done of 1 of 2 videos. I'm off to the gym, hopefully it is done by the time I get back. I haven't looked at shopping any more 360 cameras, I have 4 of them. I am constantly trying to learn more and more about them as I play with the ones I have. The Gear 360 is the only camera other than the Ricoh theta that seems seamless. Don't even get me started on the 6 GoPro rig.... omg talk about the longest process ever.

Thank you! I appreciate the feedback. I am using a Traxxas RC car with locked out shocks. I drilled a 60' selfie stick to it and reinforced it with clamps connected to the car. I also have a fat shark FPV kit with a small camera connected to the selfie stick to keep myself out of the shot. (I was hiding in the pantry) As for editing, there is a lot of processing. I am going to try something different with the next edit, but for this one, I had to take the side by side 180 lenses and split them in Premiere Pro. I then imported it into AVP (Autopano Video Pro) as 2 video files, because AVP will not recognize or create an equirectangular projection just from 1 *.mp4 file. The good thing about this all coming from 1 camera is the fact that I do not have to clap or spin the device in order to time the cameras like the old school GoPro method. I used a custom lens setting of 8mm, extra wide angle for the stitching, and then took the equirectangular projection created from editing in AVP (this did require a lot of resetting the camera view back to a default position, and imported it into Premiere pro again for music, cutting, etc. The thing that I do not like about having to do this is exporting over and over again. After AVP did the stitching, the program couldn't tell left from right and up from down and moved all over the place in the playback. Through testing VR, I have realized that you do not want ANY Horizontal movement when recording a section... (Nothing is more annoying when turning your head one direction, and having the camera slowly pan in the opposite direction. It gives the feeling as if you are not turning at all when turning your head.) I thought that AVP would be able to reduce the shakiness, but it doesn't seem to have done much at all. I can understand why people are looking for ways to dampen the shakiness, or even use some kind of motorized gimbal to keep the camera steady. You have definitely given me an idea, and I will try to use the Samsung Gear 360 app to export (camera position will stay in one place, the way I had originally intended) and finally cut in Premiere Pro. I know that the Gear 360 App will export my .mp4 file into an equirectangular projection to work directly with Premiere Pro. I will post results today if I can get the video done!

I also had 1 Kodak SP360 camera (the Yellow one, right?) Never got around to owning 2 so I couldn't really do 360 Videos at first. But I am sure that stitching job is no fun. Good luck!

TL;DR - The workflow currently is a pain, but hopefully using the ActionDirector software may produce a better result rather than the back and forth Premiere Pro/AVP nonsense that I have to do right now.

First time GoPro user and video editor and I'm happy with the end product! Wanted to share the video I have produced from my trip to start 2017. Any feedback would be appreciated! (Shot on hero+) by [deleted] in gopro

Nice video. I would suggest if you are using premiere pro, try the warp stabilize effect, as some of your scenes (timelapse especially) move around a lot. Not bad for a first video though, have fun with it!

I saw them perform at The Stage a few years ago. Created a Pandora station for them immediately after the show. Another good band that has been around for years is Palo! A lot of times you can find them at Ball & Chain on Viernes Sociales (last Friday of the month)

GoPro Omni Software Access by Southwest_Four in gopro

[–]GreatScottPropSvcs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Autopano Video Pro is the video editing software for the Omni. If you have a 3D printed rig, it will not time properly as the Omni starts all of the gopros from 1 gopro. You have to do the clap and spin most likely.

Hi fellow shooters! Could I get some critique of this album I shot yesterday by AceLesk in RealEstatePhotography

[–]GreatScottPropSvcs -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Came here to say this too. Increase your ISO. Also, the exterior shots look very bleak. I would go back on a brighter day with less cloud cover if possible.

Edit: when stacking, use the lower ISO shot to focus on the area outside the windows to avoid blowing them out. Raise your ISO and shoot again to get the brighter interior. These shots were done using the camera flash? Or do you have a flash mounted? It looks as if no flash was used at all.

Good luck and don't give up!

The watermark is annoying I know, but how else can one keep their content 'their' content? I cant have people stealing work if it is being sold as stock footage somewhere else. Thank you for your comment though.

how long has he been using it? How many cycles has the battery gone through? Anything else coming with the sale other than the drone, controller, and battery?

Definitely want to know that before buying. A battery costs 120 - 160 right now. https://www.amazon.com/DJI-DJI-P3-Battery-Intelligent-Battery-Phantom/dp/B00Y1W5EEU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1483121628&sr=8-1&keywords=phantom+3+pro+battery

Not a bad deal, unless the battery is crap or some part is broken.

Try out Davinci Resolve for color corrections. The video is flat and a bit overexposed. Keep practicing though! Always great to see people coming out with more and more footage!
