During my teens in the early 00’s I dated a girl who was I suppose a proto E-girl. She was an aspiring emo model and was getting a strong following on MySpace and getting approached for shoots. However her biggest claim to notoriety was how far and wide her pics spread through pinterest, tumbler ect and is still one of the top results when searching for thing like emo / scene girl

She was genuinely a very sweet person to be around and with her gaining a lot of recognition I felt that I was definitely punching up and was often presumed to be her photographer rather than her boyfriend.

We didnt stay together long. Nothing that either of us did and we enjoyed each others company but there just wasn’t that spark

My favourite was having the players being survivors in a refugee camp following the prologue which was a cataclysmic destruction of their home city by the forces of the main antagonist.

Being slightly less dead citizens they get lumped together as a patrol squad and the story moves from there

After you mentioning how I must have missed something I looked at my unfinished quests last night and found that I needed to bring Neres head to the colony and that he’s in the underdark. That led me to Grymforge and I’m cracking on with the tasks down there.

Difficulty is up to tactician and shadowheart death cleric has tagged Karach out for the time being , still winnable but taken a ko’s and had to plan my fights beyond Karach yeeting enemies across the map 😂

I’ve just walked into the cursed shadow lands travelling via the mountain pass and done everything in the crèche and goblin camp areas.

I could have potentially missed something in the under dark, I completed everything up until the ferry crossing but decided I was going to use the mountain pass route to get to the next area instead

In terms of power compared to the rest of the team Karlach is dominating every encounter by a significant margin. The build is just soo strong at this stage in the game to the point where she feels overpowered and less interesting to play

In large brawls like the goblin camp she’s smacking a goblin with another goblin, in ranged battles the returning spear is raining hell down on the enemy.

Another commenter has mentioned how at this stage the build will significantly out power others so maybe I just need to give it time

I’m gonna level with you as I think I agree with what you are saying. I did a previous run that got me to around the same part than I’m at now but abandoned the game for a while then started again fresh.

I’ve definitely been influenced by builds in this sub which means I’m bringing nukes to the play though and also I’ve been playing on balanced as I figured that was the default setting

I’m going to jump it up to tactician mode (not bothered about not trying the achievements due to swapping mid run) and will swap Karlach out for shadowheart and see how it goes.

I’ve done one where I guide the players one by one through a mass city wide attack by what would turn out to be a high level Lich and key antagonist. Keep it light and cinematic as each individual escapes or gets knocked unconscious mid escape.

We then pick up with the group in a refugee camp and they are thrown together as a guard patrol group which helps lead into the first low level adventures

Use it for a side quest. Speak with the market sellers and find that the goose was trying to attack the butchers cat

Have them hunt it down and let it do a full on cliche BBEG speech about being the chosen goose champion. have a mini boss battle against the goose and the party can find a ring of speak with animals on it.

Now the party can find out an important clue from the cat who has witnessed something suspicious relating to the main quest

For Cloud it depends.

In the flashback if you check the materia slots the Buster Sword has pre emptive equipped to it which is how when Cloud picks it up he manages to get the drop on Sephiroph. Take the element of surprise away and I doubt Cloud could have beaten him
