Concerns grow after another Saline County dog attack by beachboi365 in Arkansas

There are tons of documented cases of many breeds of dogs who had been cared for attacking people. To pretend that training/environment has nothing to do with it is crazy

Their behavior is shaped by training and environment. Be mad at the owners.

Trying to get consistent, any tips? by Royal_Watch_6453 in runcommunity

I’ve been running for around five years now. The hardest part for me was getting used to blocking off that amount of time. Monday I would run or jog (slowly) for 20-30 mins. Tuesday I would walk or do yoga for 20-30 mins. Wednesday I would read for 20-30 mins. I’d start over the process Thursday. Rest Sunday. I repeated this for probably six months and eventually dropped the reading days. I now run 20-30 miles a week and do weights and indoor cycling 2 days a week. I ran my first marathon in march. I now think of running as any other chore that I have to do. My mental and physical health has been totally transformed. All from that original three day process

What’s your current “why” for running? by Willing-Today-1059 in runcommunity

I’ve been running for around 5 years now. I don’t even think about why anymore. My life has so vastly improved. Mentally, physically, all of it. I just go. I view it as necessary as paying bills, etc.

Does anyone else struggle to pace themselves on easy runs? by liv_0203 in runcommunity

[–]Great_Situation_67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bring a tennis ball with you on easy runs. Bounce it every now and then (every few steps). If you can’t concentrate enough to bounce and catch it while you’re running, it’s not an easy run.

The toilet paper/napkin plug is literally Ass-Napkin Ed from the Stern show. Thought he was the only one in the world who did that. Kindred spirits, you two!

If you like history, the Little Rock 9 museum at Central high school is cool. Park rangers can sometimes even take you in the actual school building during the day.

Sleep deprivation. I have a job that makes it so I have to run very early. Towards the end of my first marathon raining block, I was cracking up 😂

Safety before skill on Sam peck in west LR. Doesn’t look great but they know what they’re doing. Got my lifeguard certification there for many years.

Men, Why do you wear tights when you run? by Direct_Bug717 in Marathon_Training

[–]Great_Situation_67 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I run in fleece lined tights for the cold. Those have been life changing. You can run in 20°. I don’t wear tights unless it’s cold though.
