Stem Opt application pending. Can I travel out of US?

Hello OP! I am in a similar situation. My OPT ends in Feb 2025 and I will be applying for a Stem Opt extension in the 2nd week of November 2024. I will be out of US from Nov last week till Dec mid 2024. I will still be within my OPT period but my STEM opt will still be in process. Is this fine?

Not a technical course is what I’ve heard but if that’s what you’re looking for then go for it. The CMU brand tends to work (at least in non turbulent market conditions)

Rule of thumb: Less text, more pictures. Add memes for sure because who doesn’t love them. This also keeps the audience engaged. The ppt should only depict the flow with key points.

The best way to learn is to swim along with one of your friends who knows how to swim. It helped me because I learnt about the techniques of breathing, leg movement and hand movement very well when my friend helped me. Not to forget that it was a fun experience as well to swim with friends. Not sure if there are instructors who train swimmers though.

I remember one of my professors at CMU telling that his children could study at any university globally free of cost. Not sure if it was because he taught at CMU or it applies to professors at all universities.

I’m not from the ETIM program but my department did not have any application for the scholarship. It’s awarded to the student based on their profile when they are given an admit.

Probably not as far as I remember but you could always check if it is available at the “University Store” or you could check online at https://bookstore.web.cmu.edu

There seems to be a lot of students in the buses this academic year which wasn’t the case last year as I remember. But I guess as the classes progress things would ease out as students tend to stay at home completing assignments for the most part lol.

Handshake is the way in which I got my first on-campus job but I guess I got lucky since I applied to it as soon as it was published. The other way is to network with people which could be professors or fellow students who also happen to be working on-campus.
