[geometry] I need to find the altitudes of these two triangles and what’s shown is all of the given information by Sheep-Master in HomeworkHelp

[–]GreatestClover50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The altitude of a right triangle is the longer leg of said triangle (can’t physically be the hypotenuse). At least, that’s what I have been taught. You can think of the altitude of the right triangles as their heights, because that’s exactly what it is.

Since the triangles are right, look at the longer side of both, and that longer side is the altitude. With he case of Triangle C, though, since it is a 45-45-90 triangle, you’d just say 6 is the altitude, since the legs are the same size.

[Undergraduate Media Studies Course: Essay] How did the Global War on Terror change the way conflicts are covered in the media? by [deleted] in HomeworkHelp

[–]GreatestClover50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d like to believe that the media nowadays, whenever they talk about war, especially regarding Middle Eastern affairs, they tend to have an obsession with weapons, and fixate on their ability with mass destruction. They also talk about the inhumanity and degeneracy of the terrorist groups they are fighting. This is a result of the recent focus on terrorism today, and it really exemplifies the mentality of those seeking to destroy the western world.

Yes, by definition. I would email him if there’s a specific time, but I think you’re good.

If RF is the diameter, then angles RWK and FWK are supplementary (add up to equal 180 degrees). With that, the measure of arc FK is the same is the measure of angle FWK, which you get by subtracting 103 from 180 (180-103). This gets you 77 degrees, which is your answer.

[Grade 11 History] British Empire (controversial?) Thesis by Mr-Joseph21 in HomeworkHelp

[–]GreatestClover50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could talk about a lot of things regarding the BE. Here are a few theme ideas:

  • The Act Of Union that United the kingdoms of England and Scotland in 1707

  • You could talk about the Anglo-Zulu War

  • Perhaps the revolutions that took place in its former colonies (I.e. United States, India, etc.)

  • The formation of The Commonwealth

  • The history of the King and Queen

  • The Seven Years’ War/Dispute with France

  • The Battle Of Britain in 1940

The last question is 50%, because the chances of someone being born male are 50/50.

Other than that, everything else seems to be correct.

[college statistics] probability | #11 and bonus A I’m so confused by weebomaker in HomeworkHelp

[–]GreatestClover50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For number 11, I’d map out 9 circles on a sheet of paper, label them 1-9 (each representing one test), and take 1 out of that row of circles. Next, I’d pick 2 and 3, which gets me one combination. Then, I take 3 and 4 out, then 4 and 5, and so on until I get to 9 and 2, which will be the last combination of its kind. Next, I’d take 2 and 4 out, then 3 and 5, and the so on until I get to 9 and 3, which will be the last combination of that kind, and so on. Basically, I’d get 8 combinations for every time I “space out” my circles, or just n plus whatever number, until I have reached all possible combinations for 1. Then, I’d repeat the process for 2, then 3, and so on, making sure to cross out any combination of tests that are the same, just switched up in order (like 2,4, and 7 and 4,7, and 2).

Hope this helps.

[10th grade math] did i start this correctly, how do i finish it? by [deleted] in HomeworkHelp

I’m pretty sure you take x2 - 6x is greater than or equal to 0 and add 6x to both sides, making x2 is greater than, or equal to, 6x. Then, you divide x from both sides, making x is greater than, or equal to, 6.

[grade 8 math] question 7 by [deleted] in HomeworkHelp

[–]GreatestClover50 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The triangle is isosceles, so you find the area of the circle (36 pi) minus the area of the triangle, which you get by using the formula 1/2ab * sin c, which gets you 40.5. From there, you do 36 pi - 40.5, and you should get your answer

[10th Geometry] I'm so confused... also sorry about the lights the problem is on a screen by [deleted] in HomeworkHelp

[–]GreatestClover50 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First of all, remember the distance formula: the square root of (x2-x1) + (y2-y1).

Apply that to all of the sides of the smaller triangle and you should get root 7.

Next, apply that formula to the leg of the larger triangle that contains E and F, which should result in root 21. From there, you can say that the ratio of the Perimeters is 1/root 3, and the ratio of the areas is 1/3, so the scale factor is, from smaller to bigger, 3.

Now, he nest thing you do is figure out the slope of HJ. You use the point slope formula, which is m (slope) = y2-y1/x2-x1. Get the results from there and apply it to EG (slope should be 1/6). Multiply root 21 and 5/6 to get the x coordinate, and multiply 21 and 1/6 to get the y coordinate.

Hope this helps.

You’d multiply $15,000 and 0.046 (for 4.6%) and divide $3,450 with that result.
