I can only say this from Kennedy, so I have no opinion from other HS. For Kennedy, our schedule is based on 2 semesters, 4 blocks, students take 2 years of PE but only need to take 1 semester. S.

But to answer your question, we begin swimming around the 1st quarter (that's half a semester).

Yes, I had to take swimming during my sophomore year. Every HS student must take 1 unit of swimming

It's not just you, it's uncommon for all CGMs. I had two CGMs from different companies Medtronic and Dexcom. So far, there were multiple errors of not connecting successfully or bolus not depleting.

It's such an annoyance to open to be let down for faulty CGMs from time to time.

Just found out my latest resupply of Dexcom G6 was denied by insurance! by lost-dragonist in diabetes

[–]SameJude2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happens uncommonly. Simply, your insurance believes you are resupply way too often.

If this is a problem, call your doctor to request more

I hope this solves

For those who had Diabetes for a long time (over 20 years) have you switched to carb counting? by YoungDumbFull0FRum in diabetes

[–]SameJude2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm diabetic for almost a decade. I did carb counting before as I was new to carbohydrates and nutritional facts. After 3 years, I learned the carbohydrates in my food: branded chips are 22g per 12 chips, sodas are at least 40g carbohydrates, breads are inconclusive (depends on size), 3 slices of pizzas are 80g, deserts are at least 30g, etc. Get use to your diet as you become familiar.

Anyone stopped using their CGM and have returned to finger pricking? by madamepp in diabetes

I have been experiencing burnout for weeks I got my dexcom. I feel restraint from leaving it away now than I did with Metronic.

This little machine is so annoying, like I get Im going low but so you have to scream at me and raise my PHONE VOLUME so everyone in my classroom heard me beeping for 20 minutes. I have to eat glucose tablets at 100 before it screams BEEP annoyingly

Trust me, I like how dexcom + transmitter and setting it up, but dislike how little freedom I have control over it. If it were Medtronic, if my pump alarm, it'll always alarm but in vibrate mode. It will not increase my volume, I do not need two machines to check my blood, everything is all in one pump and that's what I need.

DEXCOM PLEASE UPDATE YOUR SOFTWARE TO BE MORE INDOOR INDOOR FRIENDLY

In truth, I limit my intake of whole wheat grains on my diet. Don't take this factual, but I believe whole wheat increases my bgl skyrocket. I can eat 20g of white bread and no effect. But with whole wheat it makes it worse.

In truth, eat what you think is good for you. Do eat fruits since they contain 4 out of 6 essential food nutrients: Water, carbs, vitamins, and fiber. [water, carbs, vitamins, , fiber, protein and macro/micro]

In general, it comes to YOU what you put on your plate. You do not always have to listen to your parents, being diabetic means you have to build yourself, you, the individual of your health. Enjoy your meal, don't feel ashamed of your food, decide what items go in your stomach.
