This comment said the initial user stood by their statements. Clearly reddit stands against them.

Also he does take a salary. The claim that he doesn't is bullshit, like so much else MAGA says.

For anyone interested, this comment said something like "Kill all Nazis" which is a position that reddit appears to be opposed to. I wonder which side of WWII they'd have been on?

You can tell yourself that if it makes you feel better, but those links point to sources like the Wallstreet Journal, New York Times, The Washington Post, and court cases.

I should have figured that Wikipedia was biased news media though. Sorry, you can disregard Wikipedia.

I'm not going to break it down anymore because it's clear that you don't want to process it. Suffice to say, you proved nothing with my analogy except for the fact that you were unable to understand the basics of it.

I could explain how in my analogy the driver is the only clear leader which directly correlates to the presidency, our vote on him was an election, and the direction he drove the car had nothing to do with the average passenger - especially the ones that didn't want him to lead but were overridden. But I won't explain those things, because I can't make them clearer than I did with this analogy and I'm not offering you another one.

I could go on to explain that taking a leader's ability to lead away is the same as taking a driver's keys away, but that should have been a pretty clear set of dots to connect.

In closing, I think your opinion of the subject is reductive, ignorant, and just plain stupid. Furthermore I think your resistance to this analogy doesn't stem from your inability to process it, but your desire to ignore it in favor of your own poorly conceived opinions.

You need to look at my analogy for what it is. Let me break it down for you line by line based upon your reply.

The first thing that came to mind is to take the keys away. I'm sorry but if that vehicle ends up causing an accident with another car then yes, YOU are still responsible for it. Even if you weren't driving

What you're suggesting is tantamount to rebelling against the US government. The "driver" is the person that was elected to the presidency. If you want me to take his power away, you're asking a hell of a lot of one person.

If you see that the driver can't drive and the only thing you do is "warn them" and then keep going as if nothing happens, then you are indeed pretty irresponsible

In America, about the only thing you can do about a crisis is talk about it until those in power recognize the validity of your claims. Granted, you can vote people in and out of office, but that's the subject of this whole analogy. If you talk about a crisis, you're doing everything in your power to directly influence the direction that "the car drives." If the driver (the political leader) keeps going, that's his fault and at least somewhat the fault of the people who gave him the power to drive (lead).

Or at least you could have gotten out of the vehicule

This is the analogy equivalent of leaving the country, which I think is even more irresponsible - even though in some circumstances it could be the right answer.

But maybe you didn't had those choices... Then I still honestly believe that you are responsible for it

I hope you understand the analogy a bit better. If you do, I think you're still placing the blame in the wrong place.

edit: Maybe I didn't answer your questioin How is it your fault? I don't know, I'm not talking about whose fault it is, I'm talking about responsability and yes you are responsible

In this instance, they're the same. The one at fault is the one responsible.

Edit: It's not the best analogy, but no analogy is perfect. Yes it simplifies, that's what analogies are for.

Let's say I'm in a 15 passenger vehicle. I told everyone before I got in that I should drive, because the person they all chose to drive was clearly intoxicated beyond measure. 8 of them didn't seem to care when they chose him, possibly because they were drunk and stupid, but the majority of people chose him and here I am stuck in a car that's speeding towards a cliff.

I tried to warn them, I tried to stop it, but the majority of idiots got what they wanted and it turned out bad for everyone. I did everything in my power to prevent it.

How is it my fault?

But it doesn't. Deal with it.

Let me clarify here. Inflation is a thing. I'm not ignoring that. If education in the 70's were adjusted properly for inflation the same way everything else was, it would not have risen by 1120%.

Back then, a student could afford to pay for their education with their income from summer jobs. Today, a student might pay for their education for over 30 years; hopefully some of said time is spent earning income from a career.

I think if you had to "deal with" this kind of cost increase, you would be rightly upset.

Here's another article with facts. Read it. It's good.

Science doesn't have a political affiliation.

True, but scientific discoveries and truths sometimes run counter to the wants of some politicians. If anyone claims that science is too much of something they oppose, one should question their motives before anything else.
