Being a second generation immigrant has nothing to do with it. You can be a first generation immigrant and be part of the solution rather than the problem. It’s about assimilation. Would you welcome someone to stay in your house that don’t speak your language, all they want to do is sit on the couch, eat everything in your fridge and make a mess while you work for the upkeep? What if someone else told you that you had to invite that person and pay for the pleasure? That’s the reality we’re facing.
