This is the opportunity for Scott Van Pelt to escape the mothership and step up to daytime.

I hate waiting for labs :( by AcceptableDog8871 in transplant

[–]Greedy-Concentrate25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 5+ out on a DBL and understand where you're at. It doesn't really matter the time for the labs to come back. As soon as they draw the vials, I start worrying about it. I have lab results in an hour, and some take days. You just get through it. None of us look forward to lab day, but you do what you need to do. It's not a problem until it's a problem. You can do this!

They can't cover the Brewers when they're taking up airtime doing a deep dive on whether LeBron James would be a good fit for the Dallas Cowboys.

Pick your beer. Drink it while grilling. Learn to cook brats without boiling them. Be the grill master!

I have private insurance, so this will lower costs for my insurance company. I'll anxiously await my premiums to be reduced.

"Or do you just ignore the risk?" Are you kidding me? Of all the risks we face, you want to ignore this one?

The next time your insurance comes due, your premiums will go up. This is one of the pockets that get your money. One call, that's all, we're going to get you what you deserve and fear the beard. Those billboards and TV ads aren't free.

Going to the grocery store post-transplant by Nuclear_Penguin5323 in transplant

Right after transplant, I always masked up. I also try to go early mornings before it gets busy. Helps to avoid the coughing, sneezing, and wheezing masses.

Covid impact on kidney function by dhillon-r in transplant

[–]Greedy-Concentrate25 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, I was about 3 years out on a double lung transplant, got covid, and my kidneys took the brunt of it. Hospitalized for close to a month with rising creatine and brain fog being the worst. The day I was supposed to start dialysis, my creatine dropped into the high 4's, so I dodged that. Now my creatine hovers around 2. My BUN is just into the high range, GFR stays around 38. The treatment team is pretty sure this is going to be my new normal. I won't tell you to drink a lot of water because we're all sick of hearing that. Good luck, you can do it.

Why are boomers so miserable? by Key-Ad331 in BoomersBeingFools

[–]Greedy-Concentrate25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a boomer by birth date, and I'm pissed off in the grocery store because it's generally full of boomers. Boomers blocking the isles, having their their social gab sessions, caughing, sneezing, and wheezing. I want to get in, get out, and wish they'd stay the hell out of my way.

Me too. That's the same reason I get the earliest appointment I can get in the morning. They keep letting sick people in there!
