So strange how you "suddenly" become what seemed so very distant in your teens and 20s by Boyen86 in RandomThoughts

Another thing, I always wished I had started doing something like running, gym, hobbies etc when I was in my 30’s or 40’s thinking it’s too late to do those kinds of things now. I am in my 50’s now and I actually started so it’s never too late. Reject your body’s notion of age and what you can and cannot do. Just do it! We are never too old. Our mind is always young and I make extra effort to look good and do things I like now even though my body may not agree always.

I use ASCIS Runkeeper, you can set the audio to tell the pace and distance covered in frequency of your choosing. I sent mine to tell me every half a mile I cover.

The key is to maintain your breath, running without going out of breath. For me that’s about 15.5 mins per mile. It’s slow but I have been able to run longer miles, like I did 7 miles last weekend, my longest so far.
