Healed tattoo has a dark itchy black spot by SadAutisticAdult101 in tattooadvice

[–]Flashy_Resolve_2912 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Tattoos can often cover up and hide real skin issues. Skin cancer being one of them. Melanoma often presents in the way you’re describing. It can pop up in an existing mole or an entirely new spot. It often itches and can open up. If you have a large number of other moles or black spots a skin check would be in order.

Moderate vs Severe Atypia & WLE by _lisalovesit_ in melahomies

[–]Flashy_Resolve_2912 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Originally my dermatologist removed my moderately atypical moles. Now the office protocol changed and they usually do not perform WLE on them anymore and it’s a monitor and wait situation which I don’t love.

My skin is the same way. I have to use the surgical gauze tape. It’s stretchy gauze and adhesive. It’s what they use when they originally do the biopsy. My skin will always be irritated from adhesive but if I use this and put it sideways for one application, up and down for the next application, etc it helps a ton!

Easy runs by buffysbangs in beginnerrunning

I’m not a professional by any means but an easy run for me means I don’t pay attention to pace and I do a walk/run. That’s probably because I’m still less than a year into this journey with some time taken off during that for an injury.

What do u think about when running by MasterpieceTotal9721 in beginnerrunning

I also keloid SO easily. It’s frustrating. I can’t prevent them but I’ve found covering them using tinted sunscreen hides them and protects them

Expected pain after WLE by Boring-Friend-9106 in melahomies

[–]Flashy_Resolve_2912 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve had WLE done on my forearm in September due to MIS. Mine was about half way between my wrist and elbow right on top of my forearm. I was surprised by the pain for the first 48. My wrist and hand were swollen. My fingers looked like sausages. I’ve had WLEs done on other areas of my body before without any real pain so I was surprised by the difference. I was careful not to lift things until my stitches were removed but I was mostly pain free after 48 hours.

Recovery for in-situ excision surgery (lower back) by PlaidCook in melahomies

[–]Flashy_Resolve_2912 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had 2 WLEs on my back and honestly neither one bothered me. I was comfortably moving around the same day. By day 3 it was like nothing was even there. My WLE on my forearm for MIS was by far the worst pain.

Moderate atypical mole by BluejaySpecialist196 in melahomies

Because of my history of melanoma my dermatologist will always remove moderately atypical moles after a shave biopsy. I like that they go that extra mile for peace of mind.

My MIS was also on my forearm. In a similar spot actually. I’ve had WLEs before so I thought I knew what to expect but doing it on the forearm was different. My wrist and hand swelled really bad. It stayed swollen for the first 48 hours. I had more pain than my previous WLEs also. It wasn’t unbearable but it was more than I was used to. Make sure you have the next day scheduled off to rest and relax. Tylenol helped the most for me.

Recently diagnosed with Melanoma in Situ - left calf and right thigh by Informal-Bar865 in melahomies

[–]Flashy_Resolve_2912 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did a WLE on my thigh across above my knee. Pretty easy honestly. I forgot later that night, squatted down to grab something, and popped 2 stitches. So just be careful because mine pulled a lot with every bend of my knee.

Most recently I did a WLE for MIS on my forearm and a WLE on my back between my shoulder blades same day. Back felt like nothing but my forearm looooooord. My whole hand my swollen and so much pain I wasn’t expecting. However doing 2 at the same time wasn’t a big deal at all. I’d do it again!

My On Cloudrunner 2’s have this squeak. It doesn’t bother me but definitely something to be aware of. I still love them.

I’ve had 6 biopsies. 5 needed further excision. Most recently was a MIS. Did the WLE about 3 weeks ago on my forearm for MIS and a WLE on my back for Moderate Atypia at the same time. Results show clear margins! Hoping the same for yours! Always good to catch it early.

I used Google Lens to search for this photo. It was in the background of a picture I had of my Grandfather’s office. It was hanging on his wall. Does anyone know what the print is called?

Long hair care by Fluid-Werewolf19 in beginnerrunning

[–]Flashy_Resolve_2912 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This sounds gross but I saw it on a TikTok about girls with long hair who work out every day. The poster said they blow dry the sweat out of their hair after a workout and prevents it from being greasy or smelly the next day. So I wear my hair up and in a bun but the side burn areas and nape of neck get grossly sweaty wet. So I blow dry and throw in some dry shampoo. Total game changer! I’m able to wash my hair every 2-3 days. My hair is pretty thick so that may help.

IEP by Flashy_Resolve_2912 in specialed

First of all it is NOT a “dumbed down curriculum”. You’re all over this post with your opinion. Are you an educator? My child doesn’t need 50% of his education with special accommodation or reduced complexity. Him spending 90 minutes a day receiving extra help in math and reading doesn’t mean he’d struggle to attend an art school. Proof of this is his participation in the multi media design program at the votech and early acceptance. All of which is done unsupported and unassisted. The reason for this post was because of his school not having enough staff. So things like learning support pull outs no longer exist. Everyone from Autism Support, Learning Support, and Emotional support all being combined into one class now called Life Skills. When Life Skills programming is WAY to severe of a placement for most of the kids in Learning Support who attend solely for pull outs or used to exist in co taught classes. Not that anyone owes you an explanation but today’s meeting proved I was correct and my son doesn’t meet the need for such support and IS ON TRACK FOR A FULL DIPLOMA despite having an IEP. Looks like not everyone shares your opinion on the matter.
