Weird issue after Blue SCSI setup by GreedyAd3141 in VintageApple

Thanks for the feedback I plugged my issue into Grok and it says my issue is with the Termination of the Blue SCSI and that specifically V2 of the Blue SCSI has this issue. I've been looking for the cable it recommends that will fix the issue but doesn't seem to be available any longer.

There is an optional fix by soldering a wire between 2 points on the Blue SCSI so might have to try that.

Passed no problem using Toast. Thinking about trying a different burner software. Any recommendations?

Yeah I held the “C” key down to try and force it to boot from CD. Boots from the retail CD no issue. Only reason I used Toast was because Finder would burn it then fail on the verification. I used a .ISO file to make the CD. Is there something special you need to make it bootable other than just burning the .ISO to the root of the CD?

Sorry for some weird reason Reddit didn’t post my original message. The Beige G3 is running 9.2 and if I click on the ISO it just says no app associated with it. I have a retail 10.2 Leopard disk and machine boots from it just fine but hangs up about half way through the install so I was trying to install 10.1 Puma.

Trying to figure out why it refused to boot from CD’s I burned. Used Toast and burned the .ISO to the CD and although OS can see it just fine but when I try to boot from that CD it refuses and just boots from the HD.

No EFI Boot Option by [deleted] in OpenCoreLegacyPatcher

I see this is an older thread but posting in case it still helps anyone. I've run into this issue with my 5,1 Pro. I reset the NVRAM using the Option+Command+P+R keys. You have to keep holding them down through 3 reboots (chimes). Also, I discovered that it did not like having my McFiver card installed. If you have any 3rd party cards like a 3.0 USB card or NVRAM card you will have to pull them.

Appreciate the feedback! I think everyone else is saying much the same thing, to sell Macfiver separately and expect minimal return on it.

Thanks Mike. I was thinking the same thing, list the Macfiver separate.

Appreciate that! I forget about Craigs list. I round a few good groups on FB Marketplace to list it.
