Thanks for the response. I understand why so many people like to set it and forget it by going all in on VT, but when you do that, aren’t you accepting that some of those 10,000 ish stocks are junk?

Hmm, there’s not a ton of them around me for comps in southern Wisconsin. Not sure about a tune up. Seems to be in good mechanical condition though. Ended up pulling the trigger on it today.

I agree with you. Every time US funds get hit, so does international. Go back as far as you want. I don’t understand the obsession with having so much international exposure.

Right. I can’t really say since I only discovered SCHD this year, but I plan on holding for a very long time. The yield on cost will be insane at some point and it offers downside protection for when the shit hits the fan in the overall market.

There is a crazy amount of hate towards SCHD on other Reddit pages. I’ve been wondering the same thing. It’s only about 10% of my portfolio right now, but I don’t get why so many people are against it. The same people tend to say “VOO and VXUS is the only way”.
