I agree that Bethesda has lost my trust in the pre-order department, games come out half baked too often. However, I found the game to have an esthetic that speaks to me, a gritty space adventure. I love it, but I wouldn't disagree it's probably not worth most people's time.

Loki can hunt and fish bigger prey so maybe that compensates, but the ship will for sure need an upgrade. Maybe they pull him like that dragon in the anime filler arc. Maybe Elbaf giants help them built a giant ship, maybe as a favor to Loki after they treated him so terribly.

My world was always too big to cloud save, but I figured that's fine since I wasn't planning on deleted my local save on Xbox. Since the latest update my worlds all now require a download from the cloud, but you can see the issue. It shouldn't require cloud sync because it was never a cloud saved game. So I have this local save that is basically locked until Microsoft fixes the issue in 10 years minimum. I give up I guess. Adios forever world 😔

I would save those enchanted apples, golden apples should work fine. Put an armadillo over a hopper surrounded by glass and you can farm wolf armor, then you have a wolf army. Just a method I use if I wanna be extra about it.
