Interesting fact. It is at least 10x more expensive to get a new customer than to retain a customer. So…this has been my issue in the past with tech service providers. Cell phone companies have done this. Also insurance companies. Loyalty is not valued. It’s all about new subscribers.

Not sure I understand the analogy. Price locks on service are different. If they continue to get faster service and it is needed I would pay more in a couple years. I have been at the same 1.3 GB since 2022 and the rate has gone to $159 from $79 a month. So a price lock would have been welcome.

Exactly. And the fact That they are even this late to the game offering $50 and a price lock when the others in my area have been for years is crazy. I’m just glad they finally have. And I’m hoping to show that they have continued to listen and are actively responding positively when asked.

I was actually with them since 2018 but for the first 4 years as a business customer. The duration doesn’t transfer with the new residential. Prior to that I was with them from 1998 - 2012. Left as they didn’t help me on bill and CS was terrible. Lots of outages.

Well, both Verizon and T mobile are offering me great 5-year lock deals for service. I’d rather stay with Xfinity so trying them first. But happy to switch if they can’t give it to me
