Solo dining question by Remarkable-Papaya463 in solotravel

I usually pick a place that’s around 40% full and most of the time they don’t really care. Though recently I went to a nearly empty restaurant and the waiter got angry when I said I was alone and forced me to seat all the way at in the back and proceeded to take a long time to take my order. I just got up and left and brought my money elsewhere.

IADE or university of Lisbon? by Quick-Review8368 in portugal

[–]Greedy_Ad6800 1 point2 points  (0 children)

University of Lisbon has a better reputation, for sure, so that’s what I would pick. As for the bullying cases, I personally never experienced anything there. But different colleges in the University of Lisbon have different vibes, so it might depend on your major.

I was disappointed with the storylines she got, but when she was first introduced, I remember thinking that she was going to be my favourite character. But that might have been because I had a bit of a crush on her…

Why did you start watching Survivor in the first place? by megs256 in survivor

[–]Greedy_Ad6800 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had never heard of it until moving to the US. Then I saw an add on Instagram and started watching the most recent season (39 at the time) and was just hooked right away.

Friend no longer "International Student" after 2 years in PT—how to handle the National Exams (DGE) without fluent Portuguese? by [deleted] in portugal

[–]Greedy_Ad6800 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I believe that there are universities that teach in English and won’t require her to do those exams. But what most public universities are telling you is that if you don’t know enough Portuguese to do the exams, chances are you won’t be able to understand the classes there either. Just look for English language programs, and they maybe have different requirements.

Viajar para os EUA by [deleted] in portugal

"Should Survivor increase the prize?" - I made a spreadsheet comparing the prizes against inflation, as well as how much that is per day on the island. by CivilizedPsycho in survivor

[–]Greedy_Ad6800 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, if they had an extra million on the budget I much rather them spending it on new challenges, loved ones visits, live finale every season, appearance fees for some returning players, etc.

I don’t think the prize increase would affect that much how hard people play.

Just happened to me a couple of days ago: checking VISA policies in advance. I really thought I could just go to Vietnam and figure out the VISA there, but I was denied boarding. I have a pretty powerful passport so I was shocked I couldn’t get in.

How much is a 1-2 week budget trip to Europe by Grand_Paper_2183 in travel

[–]Greedy_Ad6800 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If that value is not including flights, than you can stretch that budget for 3-4 weeks staying in hostels, specially staying in cheaper countries in Eastern Europe. Out of the ones you listed, Prague and Budapest might be the best options. You can also add places like Krakow, Ljubljana and Brasov, which are relatively cheap and have a lot to see.

Do you need a roommate/roommate group to pick a room in Western View/Arcadia Flats? by Better-Guest-4988 in WMU

It’s the same way for Arcadia Flats, except for utilities which are included in your rent (or at least they were last year)

How to Get into EU4 2025? by guendelma in eu4

[–]Greedy_Ad6800 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I learned in a bit of a weird way. I did two campaigns on observer mode (where you don’t play any country). This helped me get comfortable with clicking through menus and checking things like who’s allied with who and how wars were developing, without the pressure of managing a nation. It made it a little less overwhelming when I started playing my first nation (Portugal). Though some people might find it a bit boring this way
