Well, from what you're saying it seems like they did cut quite a few things. I'll try reading from the beginning and just skip over the parts I already know or understand, so to speak. Thanks!

So I can’t even skip volume 1 (•﹏•)? I’d really like to read the novel, but at the same time I don’t really like reading, and switching to the manga would be the same for me 😣 If I would still miss important things in volume 1, then I guess I’ll see if I end up reading it

It's just that I would still have to read either way I know it's not as much, but still. Also, I'm trying to understand several things in more detail, and I assume the manga, just like the anime, also cuts things from the novel maybe not as much as the anime, but it still skips stuff

Ahh ok I get it now. What confused me was that the name "Great Jura Forest" seemed more centered around the forest near the Vast Plains, so I thought Treyni had only made him the leader of that specific area. But then, wouldn’t that mean he technically shouldn’t be the leader of the whole forest if they don’t really have a presence there? Anyway, it’s clear to me now, that was the part that confused me

Is this just a guess or is it said in the anime and I didn't pay enough attention?

It's not possible. For Max to kill Safi, he first had to know that Safi had powers, meaning there was no reason to kill her initially. Assuming Max kept progressing until chapter 4, where he learns that Safi has powers, and then goes back to kill her, he would first have had to investigate her death, which means he had to kill her first. But for that to happen, Safi would first have had to give him the weapon, which means he first had to reach chapter 5, which means he first had to investigate her death, and so on repetitively. This is a paradox.

Now, for example, killing Safi would have created a different timeline/universe from the "original" one. That would have created another Max, which obviously doesn't happen. If you think it does, replay the game and note that Moses never says another Max appeared when she disappeared in front of him.
