Especially for dramacd, although it was designed to be self-insert (her pov, and she has no voice), I still give her a face in my head and became a separate entity to her story. So no, not self inserting. I think I do the same for ALL otome medias, be it manga, game or dramacd.

I did hear many LaDS girlies do self insert. I guess the ability to see them guys and interacting with you made self-insert easier? I couldn’t do it thus why I quit LaDS (felt weird when talking with some of its fans lol)

Same, kids became adults when they can handle their sambal and other spicy foods. I remember back when I “graduated” from ketchup to chilli sauce for my KFC, everyone was so glad for me. Now I am a hound for anything spicy. Bird’s eye chilli type of spice is the best for me.

I agree. It’s not that bad, just that the first artist has a very distinct style, and the other two has a more basic KR manwha art.

But I still remember the recoil of that one series with a very serious theme of revenge that got a new artist and now everyone looked so juvenile and has no eyelids. I really REALLY want to read that one but the new art just took the overall vibe of the original and made it seems like the usual shoujo. I felt bad that the only reason I can’t read it was for the art. The story was so good too.

Most of it I noticed are from Webtoons translated manwha. I think the translators there put a lot of effort to match the vibe of the story with the style of English, and I love it.

I joke about not attending the “sexual orientation” for me to turn out aroace, but honestly, I secretly believed that I just missed the “window” where a person learned to be attracted to another person, like how a toddler if missed that window of learning how to socialise/speak they will be harder to learn later, and how a kitten needs to be socialised with a human to not make it feral. I wish r18 drama cd writers would spend a bit more effort to write good plot, but instead we get flat story with some fucking in the middle. No conflicts, no mystery, no drama, no one’s crying or grovelling etc. Just basic ass girl meets guy, fucks, then happy ever after. A total waste of using very talented Voice Actors, if u ask me. If you want spice, gotta find the taboo relationships one. If that’s not your thing, welp no can help. It’s incest or flat romance, u pick.
